CHAPTER 54 There was no sign of Bud when Tana got home, which only made her more worried. She hadn’t heard from him all day, and now she imagined him lying on a gurney at the nearest ER waiting for medical attention before he bled out from his head wound. But she was surprised to discover that despite his injury he had done his best to put her apartment back together before he left or got wheeled out by the EMTs.
