Epilogue

          When I finally woke up it was two days later and I was home in bed.  Zeke was curled up in bed next to me.  As soon as he realized I was awake he came over and started to lick my face, then ran downstairs.  A few moments later, he came back with Shawn.

          “There’s my baby girl.”  He crawled in bed and wrapped his arms around me and placed kisses all over me.

          I curled up into him and buried my head in the crook of his neck. 

          “It’s finally over, right?”
