Chapter 6 They didn’t talk about it. Joseph told himself it was because they didn’t have time for such a serious discussion, what with daily Parliamentary business and finalising preparations for presenting the bill, but in truth he was afraid of what Zac might say. And this bothered him, made him jittery when he should have been feeling relieved, put him on edge when he should have been reassured.
