This was it. Our very first time out in public, in front of everyone. I had reluctantly agreed to come to this party with Gavin, but I had no other choice. We had discussed it and agreed to come out publicly. This time was different from the last; this time, we were telling everyone about our relationship.
I wrapped my hands around Gavin's arm as I readied myself. I knew, without a doubt, that we would get stares and gossip.
“If you don’t want to be here, then let me know, okay? I don’t give a f**k about the party if you don’t want to,” he said while I listened, trying to steady my racing heart.
