“You don't expect me to leave you alone right? We're doing this together.”
The instant relief made me feel light for a moment but it didn't do anything to dull the ache and rage in my heart.
“I can't wait for you to gather evidence Gavin. That will just give her more time to cover her tracks and lead us into a goose chase.”
“Storming into her house to accuse her for something like this is just defamation of character and that could get you fined or worse,” he explained, trying to stall me but I won't let him.
“I don't care! What do I have to lose anyway? If I go to her right now, she'll become agitated and sloppy. She'll make mistakes and then you can find proof.”
