Jennifer
I woke up to a blaring noise from across my room. I knew who it was without being told. No matter how much I warn him he'd never listen, I wonder how he enjoys so much noise.
I couldn't get myself to sleep again, so I went into the bathroom to freshen up and then prepare for school.
I got my books, arranged them neatly in my bag and then left the room, heading downstairs.
Getting downstairs, I saw Norman already seated having his breakfast. I sat down immediately, mumbled a greeting and digged into the meal.
"You'd better be fast, I won't wait for you... I'll be leaving immediately. I'm done eating," Norman informed me.
"Come on bro, you can't possibly leave me alone, or do you want me to inform mom?" I asked.
He glared at me, hissed and mumbled some words incoherently.
Smiling triumphantly, knowing I had won, and he had no choice than to wait for me since I'd involved our mom, "I love you bro," I said, grinning.
"You had better eat fast, I can still leave you and then explain to mom why I left you," he replied.
Knowing it was something he could do, I hurriedly ate my food. It's not like I can't drive, but my mum doesn't want me driving ever since I drove her car drunk and ended up breaking someone's fence.
We finished eating and went into our mom's room to say goodbye..." Good morning mom, we are leaving now ", Norman informed her, while I just waved at her.
"Alright kids, please be very careful and take good care of yourselves," she replied.
"Jennifer, please ensure no one touches Norman. I don't want anyone finding out your identity," Mom said.
"Sure mom, trust me on that", I saluted and we left.
You might be wondering what my mom meant by people not finding out our identity. Well.... we are not humans, we are werewolves. But for a certain reason, we live and school among humans.
Norman is my twin brother, but acts like a lady he was always bullied until I couldn't take it and had to step into the situation.
I do not like fighting, but there is nothing I cannot do for my twin brother.... That'll be all for now. You'll find out more about us as we continue.
Norman drove us to school, and then we separated, heading to our various classes. I got to my class and headed straight to my seat, which was at the far end of the middle role.
By the time I got there, my friends were already seated. "Good morning babes, how was your night?" I greeted them.
"Good morning Jen, my night was splendid" Paige responded, while Becky just grumbled.
I noticed Becky wasn't lively, so I couldn't just ignore her, "Becky what's wrong?" I questioned.
She shook her head, saying nothing was wrong, but I did not believe her... I could actually see the unshed tears in her eyes.
So I faced Paige. "What's up with Becky?" I asked. They live close to each other lived I knew Paige would be aware of what happened.
"Her parents got into a fight again, and her younger brother got injured, he's receiving treatment at the city hospital" she replied to me.
Hugging Becky "It's fine dear, this is why I told you to move in with me, or better still, we will teach both your parents a little lesson" I mumbled, displeased with the situation, seeing this was not the first time.
"No no... I can't leave them alone. I don't want them to start thinking or even quarrel to the extent that one of them will lose his/her life," Becky said.
Alright, I understand you, and I'm sure everything is going to be okay soon", I sympathized with her.
"Thank you guys, I am grateful" she forced a smile, and we all faced in front, seeing our lecturer was now present.
"Good morning class" Mrs Adams greeted
"Good morning ma'am", we chorused and focused on the class.
Mrs Adams is actually my favorite lecturer, she takes her time to explain to us, and she'd always leave room for questions.
Over an hour later, she was done with lecturing... "Does anyone have questions or anything to add to the class?" she asked.
Few people asked questions, she took her time in answering, and then she decided to give us A few which I grumbled about.
"Your assignment should be submitted to me before our next class" Mrs Adams said, and left the class.
I immediately followed her and helped her with her bag. I needed to use the restroom, and I'd get to her office before the restroom, so it was best I helped her.
As I got closer to the restroom, I started hearing noises.... I traced it and, to my greatest surprise, my brother was being bullied by some boys. On sighting me, they fled, but I was able to recognize one of them.
