Chapter Two

780 Words
Jennifer I took Norman out of the bathroom, took him to the school clinic, so his wound would be tended to. I went back to my class boiling with range, I sat on my seat and whispered to my friends, so my coursemates wouldn't hear me, and they nodded in understanding. Something people do not know about me is that I am in a notorious gang, the same as my friends. We call ourselves the "white gang". Whenever we go on operations, we are always in white. Our leader, Seth White, is a popular billionaire. People just know he is rich and has a company, they do not know his secret, yet everyone wants to be like him. My first encounter with the white gangs wasn't sweet, but I had to join them, so I could protect my brother and hide our identity for as long as mom wanted us to. Classes finally ended. I bade my friend goodbye. I had to go to Norman's class to get the car key, so I could wait in the car. His classes usually end an hour after mine. "Hey sis", Norman called out, knocking on the car window, so I could open the door for him to get in. I opened the door and allowed him to settle up before, popping up the question "how are you?" I asked, staring intently at the scars on his face. "Come on sis, I'm fine. I can barely feel the pain. Moreover, you took me to the clinic. Did you forget?" he replied, igniting the car. I could see through his lies, but I decided not to comment since I knew what I wanted to do. Getting home, our mom's car wasn't in the garage. "It seems mom has gone back to the clinic", Norman muttered. "I think so too, but why didn't she inform us before we left for school?" I said. "She knew we wouldn't agree to it. I feel we should leave her if this is what she really wants," Norman suggested. Resigning, I just nodded my head and got down from the car while Norman trailed behind me. We went to our various rooms to freshen up and then returned downstairs to do our assignments. It's like a tradition... We both do our assignments together even though we are not studying the same course. After our assignments, Norman went to his room to play P. S, while I just sat in the sitting room chatting with my friends. ?Paige: Hey babes, I've gotten the guy's location ?Jen: That's nice. So, are we still up for tonight? ?Becky: Sureeee, they need to think through a lesson they'll never forget. ?Paige: I totally agree with Becky. ?Jen: Alright babes, we'll meet by 11pm sharp. No late coming please. ?Paige: Deal ? ?Becky: ??? I ended the chat and decided to take a nap before the operation. Mom can come back at anytime, so I keep her food in the fridge, she'll just microwave it and eat. We've told her to quit working, but I have a feeling she's always bored staying at home, which was why she went back to work. I won't question her, I just want her to be okay and not think of dad. My friends and I plan to leave the gang immediately after school, but I hope we are able to... By then, I'm sure Norman would be capable of caring for himself. The three friends met at the location at exactly 11:00pm. They decided to do the operation on their own rather than informing the leader. They got to the guy's house. Their research says he stays alone. They knocked on the door, so he didn't find anything suspicious. The guy who was expecting his order just went to open the door, without inquiring who was there. Opening the door, Jennifer greeted him with a flying kick... They pushed him into the house and then locked the door. After beating him to a pulp, Paige made him sit up. "Do you know your offense?" Jennifer asked him. "No, no, no, no ma," he replied, stuttering. "Well, your offense is you laying your filthy hands on Norman Sage" Becky said from under the mask. "From today henceforth, you are to become his best friend and save him from bullies" Jennifer told him... "Am I clear?" she questioned. "Yes ma, Crystal clear", the guy answered them, sniffling. "Good boy" Paige muttered, hitting his head, "what's your name?" she asked him. "Da Daniel ma" he answered, scared to death. "That's a nice name, don't forget... Befriend Norman and keep him safe," Jennifer said one last time, and they all left.
