CHAPTER 13

MYXY’S POV I awoke feeling like I was catching my breath, and as I glanced around, all I could see were the black surroundings. “Where am I?” I asked myself. I have no idea where I am, and I was going to stand up when I felt my feet and hands bound with a chain, and at that moment I felt something crawling at my feet, and when I gazed at it, I was astonished at what I saw, and I screamed loudly because there were snakes all around. I called everyone I could think of, but I couldn't hear anything except my own voice. With so many snakes around, I was terrified. I have no idea what happened after I lost consciousness or what happened to my friends. I heard rustling and knew someone was approaching. When the door opened, I saw Hover’s face and was surprised that he was the one who had me. I was going to cast a spell, but I couldn’t do it because there seemed to be a barrier blocking me from doing it. “You won’t be able to do what you want to do, Myxy,” he said, and I gave him a nasty look. It has most likely planned what it will do to me and all of its schemes, and I will ensure that it will fail in anything it plans to do. “You know, of all the people I’ve fought with, you’re the only one who is worthless I’ve ever known,” I remarked indifferently, then he clenched his palm and came near me, firmly holding my jaw. “You won’t be able to escape from me because I will replace Haiden as Alpha,” he said firmly, then I grinned. “Are you sure?” I said, and his face became more serious. I have to get rid of him and save, Mama. I’m not sure how he got me while Mario was there, and I know he wouldn’t let anyone get me. But this time, even if I wanted to thank you, I couldn’t since I was still dealing with bad luck. I bowed after he let go of his grip on my chin. What he did was a little painful, and I know Haiden will come to my help soon. Even though he’s weak and often worthless in defending me, he’s still my sole key to getting out of here. He is my only reason to be stronger. “You will never be Alpha, even if your own father is disappointed in you,” I taunted him, and he turned to face me. “Isn’t what I said true? Even your mother doesn’t trust you to lead your whole pack,” I said, the reason why he choked me. At that point, I don’t care if he kills me since he won’t be able to carry out his plans if I’m gone. “Hover stop it!” yelled a voice, and as I turned to see who it was, there was Haike. “Tsk. Look who else is here? Aren’t you happy with the rank you two got? I wouldn’t be shocked if your mother loves Haiden more than you two,” I said while grinning. They left me alone after Hover smacked me and turned his back on me. I can’t breathe because of the snakes around me, and I'm at a loss on how to overcome my fear. Since then, this has been one of my greatest nightmares since I know snakes are poisonous and a single bite may kill you. I can’t get out no matter what I try. I’m at a loss for what to do or how to fight the fear I'm having. I’ve had far too many doubts since I met Haiden. I wasn’t always like this, and I had a wonderful existence in the world I grew up in. “Ahhhh! Fck it!” I said, annoyed. I placed my hand on the snakes and attempted to command them with my power. I closed my eyes and saw that I had unleashed power and that despite my dread of the serpent, I was fighting it. I didn’t open my eyes when I felt the snake slithering towards my hand and foot, I was afraid my spell could break. Anyway, I felt my tie lessen, and when my hand was free, I got up and lifted my same hand, attempting to eliminate whatever barrier was surrounding me. I ripped my clothing and closed my eyes because I didn't want to see the snake. “Myxy.” I turned to my left when I heard a voice calling to me. “Who’s there?” I said, attempting to gauge my surroundings. “You don’t need to know; I’ll help you in getting out,” she said. A girl’s voice seemed to be just next to mine. I don’t know if I’m simply hallucinating or if there’s anything strange going on around me. I scowled because I felt a creepy crawling on my side. I was going to ask when I abruptly dropped to the floor, took off the blindfold from my eyes, and stood up. “AHHHH!” I said, hurriedly moving to one side and ducking. “Y-you’re huge!” I said, terrified. “I assumed you were going to keep the blindfold on your eye,” she remarked before changing her form. “W-what are you?” I said, standing up. “Human, animal, or object?” “Isn’t that obvious? I’m not human, animal, or object,” she said, further perplexing me. “Who or what are you?” “It doesn't matter anymore,” she answered simply, and we both turned to face the door as we heard someone coming. We both glanced at each other, and she swiftly came to me, pulling me to the window, and I didn’t ask any more questions because of our fast leap, and I tightly closed my eyes. I had a sense that we were flying and that I was riding a massive animal. When I opened my eyes, I found myself riding a huge dragon, and I couldn’t believe what had occurred. “Whoa!!!” I said, then chuckled. “You become a dragon? You can be any animal?” I asked, and she turned to face me. “You’re correct,” she answered, and I covered my mouth. I didn’t know where we were heading, but when I turned around, the witches were there, and I instantly rose up and put my hand there, but then I remembered that it's not appropriate to cast a spell in this situation, and I don’t know how to balance. When I returned to sitting, I lost my balance and yelled loudly. The dragon took a step forward and swiftly grabbed me. “What are you doing?” she inquired. “There are witches after us,” I muttered, and she peered behind us. “I’ll take care of them. Just hang on to me,” she said, and I did as she instructed. She came to a halt in front of the witches, and then she let out a huge fire, causing them to fall. We turned around, and she continued to soar. I could sense Haiden nearby, and I was touched in the left chest for an unknown cause. When we arrived at Lilibeth’s palace, I instantly went invisible and disguised my fragrance and aura so she couldn’t see or smell me. “What are you doing?” the kid inquired. “What is your name?” I asked, irritably. “My name is Pamela,” she said, then I turned and went away. “Where are you from, Pam, and why did you come to help me?” “You summoned me. You were the one who needed me,” she said, and I glared at her. “What do you mean? I didn’t summon anyone,” I said, and she grinned at me. “You’re not sure, Myxy; because of your wrong casting of the spell, you may have summoned anybody,” she remarked as she walked first. I couldn’t speak anymore, so I followed her, and when we came to the jails, that’s when I witnessed Lilibeth seize her mother’s power. I cried at their current situation as I saw Karol shackled and chained. I was going to walk to them when Pam grabbed my hand, turned to face me, and told me not to do whatever I was intending. I’m at a blank for what to do or how to help them. When Lilibeth turned to face us, my eyes widened as she rushed forward, and I leaped, as did Pamela. As far as I know, I’ve covered my aura and power, but I don’t know how she smelled it. I saw how terrible she was looking at me, then she grinned. When she strangled me, I felt like I was about to run out of breath, and I was hardly able to fight her. The tightness of her clutch on my neck, which I can’t get rid of no matter what I do. Pam rushed to her, and I fell to the ground, and all I could do was breathe. I looked at Haiden and swiftly ran to his side, at which point I quickly released him. The same thing happened to aunt Pneona, Karol, Titus, and Joy. When I did it, aunt swiftly built a portal for us to enter, and when I returned, I noticed how fast Pam entered as well as the portal vanished, which brought us all peace. “Are you okay? Aren’t you hurt?” Haiden asked me. I raised an eyebrow at him after looking at him. “You’re the one I should ask because of what happened! I don’t know why it seems like out of the two of us, I’m the man and you’re the woman. Can we just switch? After all, you’re the worthless Alpha and Your brother is good to be thrown into hell, he is more useful than you,” I said angrily as I walked away from him. I heard Joy, Pam, and Aunt Pneona calling me, but I ignored them. I didn’t realize that my tears were already falling and because of my annoyance earlier, I was already in tears. To be honest, I was concerned about him, but he seemed unworried. I was disgusted with myself for still choosing him, and I don’t know why I’ve connected to him after all. “Myxy.” I stopped when suddenly Haiden was in front of me. “Leave,” I said casually. “Myxy, I understand you’re upset with me,” he stated calmly. “You already know, then why fcking followed me; are you going to leave, or are we going to fight?” I said fiercely, and he lifted both hands as if surrendering. “Will you listen to me first, Myxy!?” I was stunned when he shouted at me, and as I looked into his eyes, I burst into tears. “Why are you yelling at me?” I cried, comparing myself to a toddler deprived of chocolates. “Shhh... I-I’m sorry... I-I didn’t mean to shout at you,” he whispered, trying to calm me down as I sobbed even louder. He abruptly scooped me up, then placed me on his back, and he immediately transported me somewhere, and I don’t know what paths we took till we arrived at an island. When he changes his form as human, he gently set me down, and I was still weeping from what had happened. “Please accept my apologies for what happened; I didn’t mean to do that.” When I saw the sea, I stopped sobbing and looked around. “I only hope you know how I felt when your brother kidnapped me.” “I know.” “I was waiting for you to save me, but in the end, I am the one who saved you,” I said sarcastically. He took my hand in his, brought me to him, and then looked me in the eyes while touching my face. “I know, I should be the one to do that, but if only I could get out of what Lilibeth did, I would have done it; even Mario was captured by her at the time, so I couldn’t fight anymore; another thing is that we are already weak because of the chain, which gives us a reason to weaken even more,” he explained, and I feel selfish. “That’s why, even though I wanted to, I didn’t come to rescue you,” he continued. I chased him when he broke away from kissing me. “Ahh…” “Woah?” he said, stunned. “I should have been the first to do that, but you did it already.”
