CHAPTER 14

MYXY’S POV I can’t forget what I did to Haiden while I’m alone in the room. I don’t know why I did it, or what was going through my head, but I did it, and I was the first. I became irritated and smacked myself, convinced that it was all a dream, and I was astounded by what had occurred. I took a deep breath and glanced in the mirror once again. “Do you realize what you did? You’re as stupid as ever!!!” I said to myself in the mirror as the door unexpectedly opened. “Gosh!” I said, startled. “You didn’t knock, Aunt!” “I didn’t mean it. It’s not my fault that your door wasn’t locked, and I heard you talking to yourself in the mirror,” she said, then I smock myself once again. “But you should still knock,” I said irritably, then she winced. “OK, sorry,” she said, and she went inside. “Why are you battling with yourself in in the mirror?” she inquired, prompting me to glance in the mirror. “Nothing,” I said, standing up and approaching her. “How are you feeling?” I said, and she looked into herself. “I’m alright,” she said, and I took a deep breath. To be honest, I’m disgusted with myself and want to blame myself for what happened. Even yet, I still lack the necessary knowledge and skills as a witch, and what hurts the most is in combat. When I saw my mother’s expression, I couldn’t help but to be sad, and to be honest, even though I wanted to hug her, I couldn't because of all that had transpired. My aunt and I discussed what we needed to do to reclaim my mother as well as the entire witch realm from Lilibeth’s grasp. I gazed at my hand again, wondering what good it was if I couldn't wield the power right or recite the spell correctly. “You don’t need to worry about what’s going on right now and why you can’t get your casting it straight or chant correctly; instead, think about what you can do to help them.” I sat down after looking at my aunt. “A lot has occurred, and I feel like a useless person.” “You’re saying that because you can’t speak the spells well,” aunt continued to chuckle. “Are you kidding me, Aunty?” “No, I am not,” she said, standing up. “I’m just going to do something, and Joy requested you go meet her in the garden,” she said before departing. When she departed, I went to see Joy in the garden. I could see Titus was bothering her when I arrived. She still has bruises and scars from what happened to me in the witch world, which is why I laid my hand on her and subsequently treated her wounds. She noticed what had happened, so I approached her, and she smiled. “Do you have something to do?” she said, and I nodded. “You’re so cool, Myxy,” Titus commented, and I smiled at her. “Why are you fighting? What’s the matter?” I said, and she turned to face Titus. “This is as dumb as it is tormenting me; I’m going to murder him,” she muttered, evilly eyeing Titus. “You’re revealing too much that you truly love me, Joy,” he said with a smile. “Oh, see? It would be so great to toss him in the river and butcher him so he won’t have to live in this world anymore.” Titus had gone, leaving Joy and me in the garden. She explained what happened, especially when an unforeseen incident occurred, and why Haiden couldn’t save me from Hover and Haikes. Anyway, I’m not sure where Pamela went. I didn’t see her when I got up the next morning. I understood what happened at that time, especially with Mario. To be honest, I didn’t expect Mario to save me, but I also didn’t expect him to be so to be like that. He is powerful and appears to have no fear, yet Lilibeth has just vanquished him. Joy and I agreed to practice because we were both bored. We walked to the entrance where aunt Pneona and I had previously went to. When the two of us arrived, I was arranging the ingredients for potions and spells, while Joy was preparing for the impending full moon. Because they couldn’t control themselves back then, especially in wolf form. Not like a dog, but a wolf that can rise up and kill you with its claws and strength. “What are they for?” she inquired. I gazed at her before finishing everything. “Potion, and here is the book my mother gave me that I studied on casting spells, yet I still make mistakes,” I winced. “Wow, how cool are you to study that by yourself?” she remarked, and I nodded. I demonstrated what I was doing to her. I prepare the potion for persons who have serious wounds or when my body is no longer capable of healing someone, especially if I am weak. I put both my hands on the white and blue potion while I chanted the magic from the book. When I accomplished that and was confident that what I did was correct, I showed her the result. A rabbit unexpectedly went by, and it only suffered a minor wound. She quickly caught it, and I applied a potion to its wound, which instantly healed. “Very fantastic!” Joy said, clapping like a child. She let go of the bunny and then sat next to me, watching what I was going to do. Even if I made a mistake, we would eventually appreciate it since we were simply having fun. I temporarily forgot what occurred in the witch's land, and Joy and I decided to go out after what we were doing. “What have you been doing?” Haiden and Titus inquired. We exchanged glances before pointing to the entrance through which we had entered. Titus approached Bless and gave him a from head to toe. “You’re so awful, you’re hooked to Joy,” Karol said as he approached us, then he gave Haiden a high five. “What are you doing here?” Joy inquired before approaching him. “Nothing, I just want to witness the ugly incident between Haiden and Myxy,” he said, and I glared furiously at him. “You just don’t have a love life maybe you’ll be like that forever,” Titus taunted, and Karol gave him a stern look. “Just shut up,” Haiden commanded. “I saw Pamela earlier, she said she’ll come back when you call her again,” he continued, and I grimaced. “Call? Where did she go?” I wondered. “I don’t know,” he said. I don’t know how I called Pamela back then, and I don’t know how I managed to contact her with my eyes closed due to my phobia of snakes. “Alpha and Luna are calling you. Omega and Delta claimed there is a visitor arriving, and I have no idea where they came from,” Karol said, as Haiden and I exchanged glances. Haiden and I went to find Alpha and Luna. When we arrived, other members of the pack greeted us and then bowed to me. Alpha and Luna greeted us, then grinned and touched my face. I just smiled back, and I was taken aback by what his mother did because she clutched my arm. “Come, and I will make over you; many visitors will arrive later, so you must prepare; this is to present the two of you as the new Alpha and Luna, who will take over the two of us' thrones.” Haiden’s mother drew me aside after she said no. When we arrived in the other chamber, I was astounded by its size and width. I looked at Luna as there were dresses she may wear later. “This is too much.” “I just bought so many dresses, so you have something to choose from in case you don't like one,” she said, before taking a cabinet and opening it. “I never had a daughter, but I gathered different shoes because I knew this day would come,” she remarked, and I chuckled. I didn’t expect Haiden’s mother to be so eager to have her own daughter because she doesn’t have one. Anyway, I simply happened to see her like this. She grabbed my shoulders and forced me to sit in front of the mirror. I looked at myself, and Luna did as well. She touched my face, then embraced me as if I were a child in her eyes. I understand why she is like this way. But, in reality, I was shy. I miss my mother’s protection, which I only felt once when she expelled me from the witch realm. As a result, they denied me the freedom to be with my mother and learn from her. Then I’ll have to live alone and learn spells on my own. The other females entered, laughing and beaming, and I could see the delight on their faces. Luna nodded to them, indicating that they could start to make over me, then they began to paint my face. They compliment the smoothness of my face and are surprised, especially since I’m already attractive, even if it’s only a little bit better for them. I don’t enjoy wearing make-up or beautifying myself. I prefer to knot my hair and just wash my face at night. “I didn’t anticipate our pack’s Luna to be this lovely,” one woman stated. “She has smooth, white skin, long eyelashes, gorgeous lips, and her eyes are a distinct hue,” another person stated. “Someone has beaten the beauty of our Luna and to be honest, I would rather stare at her face for the rest of my life than yours,” the woman on my right said again, then the one on my left snorted at her. “Aren’t you going to complete your make-up on me yet? I’m lingering here,” I murmured, still shy, and they acted promptly. I walked to the cabinet where the dress that I could wear was kept after they finished my make-up. During picking, I couldn’t take my eyes off a black gown with a star pattern that added colour to the garment. It was the only one there, and it had a peculiar brightness like a galaxy. I chuckled, took it, and put it on. I received high hills, as well as one with a blue strap with a star motif. “It's beautiful," I told myself as I gazed in the mirror. The two women who gave me a makeover couldn’t believe how lovely the result was, especially when my whites shone through the black gown I was wearing. When I turned around in front of the mirror, Luna appeared and stared at me with dazzling eyes. “You are... gorgeous,” she murmured as she approached. “Look at yourself, sweety,” she whispered, almost sobbing. “Thank you very much for this,” I said, then she nodded. “If only I had a daughter, I wouldn’t let her step on the ground,” she said with tears in her eyes. “You’re going to make her Binukot?” I wondered. “Binukot?” he wondered. “Yes, Binokot is the name given to the most beautiful woman who almost doesn’t want to show it to everyone and just wants to hide it forever,” I explained, then she nodded. “Oh, I’d love that,” she said, then I laughed. While the two of us were laughing, Joy and Titus came, along with aunt Pneona. Aunt and Joy couldn’t believe what they were seeing in me, and I wasn’t expecting such an outcome to be this good either. I just smiled, and Titus couldn’t stop his jaw from dropping because of me. Aunty came in closer, touching my face and looking into my eyes. “You are as beautiful as your mother. You two aren’t that far apart,” she stated. “Haiden made a fantastic decision, and I won’t dispute that you are gorgeous; nevertheless, in my eyes, my baby Joy is more beautiful,” he said, looking at Joy. She was wearing a brown gown with a design like a plant at the bottom, which suited her. Her hair is in a bun, and there are fringes on both of her ears. I just winced at what Titus said to Joy, and she gave him the middle finger, which made me and auntie Pneona laugh out loud. We stepped outside and noticed that there were a lot of people, and to be honest, seeing so many people made me nervous. I’m afraid like I’m about to have a heart attack, and I’m not sure if I should flee or hide somewhere. I came to a halt, and Joy, Aunt Pnoena, and Haiden’s mother all turned to face me. “What’s the matter?” Luna inquired. “I’m nervous,” I said, holding my left chest. “Oh, you’re nervous now?” Joy inquired. “You still feel nervous even though are you brave when it comes to the enemy?” Aunt Pneona was furious, and I scowled at her. “Kidding.”
