CHAPTER 20

JOY’S POV

While I was walking, I met Titus, and I stopped because I knew he was going to tease me again. I’m not sure why he stayed here when he had so much going on in the world he lived in. My brow furrowed as I looked at him because he appeared to be looking for something. I just took a breath and then went straight for a walk; unexpectedly, I didn’t realize that there was a stone blocking my path, that’s why I tripped over the accident.

I looked annoyed at the stone, then I stood up and fixed myself. When I shook off all the dust, I looked at Titus’s location, but when I looked up, he was right in front of me. “Shock!” I said, surprised, then I pushed him.

“You are very surprised,” he said, then I looked at him annoyed.

“You know, there’s a lot of things that you know,” I said, annoyed.

“Huh? I don’t know anything other than to love you, Joy,” he said, making me wince.

“You’re disgusting,” I said, then I turned away from him.

He followed me, and I thought of looking for Myxy so we could practice fighting. “Didn’t you even miss me?” he asked, and then I stopped and looked at him.

“Don’t you have anything else to do but pester my life?” I said, annoyed, then he smiled.

“I have nothing else to do but love you,” he said, then he snorted.

I was immediately relieved, then I secretly smiled. I stopped when I saw Haiden, followed by Myxy. I immediately came to Myxty, then I held onto her arm. Haiden was looking at Titus, and he looked back at me as if teasing. Karol arrived just in time while he was holding food, and he stopped and looked at me.

“What’s happening?” he asked, then looked at Haiden.

“What food did you bring?” I asked him.

“I can’t live without food,” he answered, and then I rolled my eyes.

“Why haven’t you sent Titus back to the human world yet?” I asked, Haiden.

“He can do what he wants, Joy,” Haiden replied.

Haiden held Myxy’s hand, then they walked to their cabin. While I was following them, I stopped when I heard a howl, and Titus did the same. We turned to the forest, then I turned to Haiden. He held Myxy tight, and I choked on my own saliva because of what I heard.

That means there is an enemy around, and we have to be ready. I don’t know what was happening, but our packmates immediately took action, then they prepared themselves. I hear a lot of rustling coming from the forest, and honestly, I’m nervous about what might happen. When that creature came out, I quickly changed my form, and my eyes widened at what I saw.

“Matius!” Myxy disobeys a dragon like a dog if it acts.

“Matius?” Titus wondered.

Myxy let go of Haiden’s hand, then she approached Matius and held him. When she held it, it suddenly became a human being, and I changed my form when I saw a boy in front of us. I don’t understand what is happening. Can a dragon become human? Haiden raised his hand and then signaled everyone not to worry.

“He is not an enemy,” said Myxy. “He’s my dragon,” she added.

“Myxy.” We turned around when Aunt Pneona came and then approached Myxy. “What is Matius doing here?” she asks.

“He just came out all of a sudden,” Myxy replied.

“Cool!” Karol said and then approached Myxy’s location.

I don’t know if I will approach them or if I will just stay where I am. Matius was smiling and looking at all of us, and to be honest, he was cute and undeniably handsome. I just smiled, then I approached them, and I was about to hug Matius, but suddenly someone pulled me away, so I couldn’t hug him.

I looked at the person holding my clothes, and when I saw Titus’s face, he was serious, as if it were the size of my sin against him even though I hadn’t done anything wrong. I gave him a bad look, the reason for him to let me go.

“He’s jealous,” said Karol.

“He’s just a kid,” I replied, pointing to Matius.

“I know, but why do you have to hug him? Just hug me,” he said, then he opened his arms and was waiting for my hug.

I ignored him and hugged Matius completely, then touched his skin. “It’s awesome. Besides people like us, there are also people like you,” I said, then he smiled.

“Thank you,” he said, and then I patted his head.

“How did he get here?” I asked Myxy.

“That’s not important anymore,” said Myxy, then I snorted.

We celebrate his arrival, and everyone also prepares. As for how it came out, I don’t know either, but that’s not important now. I looked at Myxy, and I could see that she was deep in thought. That’s why I approached her, then I held onto her arm to make her look at me. I sighed, then she looked at me and turned her gaze in another direction as if she were avoiding asking me something.

“I don’t know what you’re thinking, but whatever it is, I’m sure you can handle it all,” I said, then he sighed.

“I just want to understand some things, but I don’t know why it seems so difficult,” she said, then she bowed.

While I was looking at her, there was something in her eyes. I know she wants to save the whole witch land, even though she is being thrown away there. That’s not just because she wants to save her mother; she also wants to save the witches who live there. Haiden approached us, and then he held Myxy’s hand, and I just smiled because of that.

I distanced myself from the two of them and was honestly glad to see Haiden getting stronger because of Myxy. I’m still afraid of what Hover and Haikes can do to Haiden, and I know they won’t stop until they kill their brother. Karol and Titus approached me, and then they asked me about what Myxy and I talked about.

“I don’t know what Boss has in mind, but I think he has a problem that he doesn’t know how to solve,” Karol whispered.

“I don’t think so,” I said, and then I looked at the two.

“What?” Titus groin.

We gave a warm welcome to Matius. While everyone was having fun, I noticed that Myxy was thinking deeply, and I didn’t know what it was. As I looked at her, I couldn’t help but worry. Suddenly, there was a hand blocking my face, and when I looked at who it was from, I looked at Titus. He just smiled at me, and then he sat next to me.

I just sighed at what he did, then he looked at who I was looking at. “She’s not like you, and even more so, she’s not like us wolves, but it’s obvious on your face that you’re worried about her,” he said, then he turned to look at her.

“Honestly, I see that Myxy is weak, but she is trying to be strong. It’s the opposite of what Haiden is showing,” I said, then he looked at Haiden.

“They are the opposite of each other, but because of Myxy, Haiden becomes strong. Because of her, he is able to improve his power and his ability not only as an Alpha but also as him,” he commented.

On this occasion, I looked at Titus. I don’t think he’s a sensible person to talk to at this time. I just smiled, then I stood up and raised my glass, and then they looked at me. I smiled, then they raised their glasses, and we all cheered. It’s not that in all cases there are only fights because there are happy ones that also happen in the passing times.

When the fun was over, I didn’t realize that I drank too much. That’s why I feel dizzy now, and it’s like my world is spinning even when I’m just standing. I couldn’t walk anymore because of the amount I drank, so Karol and Titus helped me get back to my cabin. When I got there, they let me into my room, and when I got inside, I realized the mess in my house.

“You’re terrible, Joy, you live here alone, and your house is still this dirty,” Karol commented.

“You don’t care; get out!” I said, then I pushed them out, then I lay down on my bed.

I closed my eyes and didn’t realize that I fell asleep easily. When I woke up the next day, I could hear birds chirping outside, and I could also smell food. I held my head, then I looked around the room and frowned when I saw that it was neat and clean. I frowned because I didn’t clean the room.

I got up, and while holding my head, I wandered my eyes all around. When I got out of the room, the kitchen was just in front of my door, so I could see who was there. I was amazed when I saw it because, from the kitchen, I could see Titus was there. He is topless and only wearing an apron, which is why the shape and size of his body are clearly visible.

“What are you doing in my cabin!?” I shouted, and he turned to me.

“Good morning, my lady,” he greeted as if my shout to him was nothing. “Come here, and our food is ready,” he invited me.

I don’t know if I will approach him or not because, first of all, what he is doing is trespassing. I don’t let anyone in my cabin, and I don’t know how they got here when I sent them out last night. I didn’t complain anymore, so I sat next to him, and when I sat down, I looked at the food in front of me.

“How did you get in?” I ask.

“The door is not locked. Another thing is that I just cleaned and cooked for you,” he said, then he winked at me which annoyed me.

“You don’t have anything else to do in life, do you?”

“Aren’t you tired of not being annoyed with me? Ever since you found out that I like you, you’ve always been hot headed towards me. Maybe you like me too, right?” he teasingly told me, in turn making me look at him.

“Are you thinking?” I said, annoyed.

“Yes, I was thinking of you too,” he said, then I handed the fork to him.

He immediately raised his hand, saying that he had given up. I just sighed, looked in another direction, and then just ate. My eyes widened because I tasted it, and I didn’t expect that he was a good cook. I looked at him, then I raised both my hands and gave him a thumbs up. I didn’t expect that he could cook so well, and I didn’t know that he knew something like this.

“I’m glad you like my cooking,” he said while smiling at me.

“You judge my earthly body too much, Joy,” he said, then he approached me. “Don’t you already know I’m husband material?” he still brags.

“Your confidence is high.”

“There are many girls who love me, but because of you, I don’t pay attention to them because you are the one I love.”

I stopped eating, then I looked at him. I want to ask him so much, and I want to know so much about him. I don’t know why, but I like his presence, and I really long for it. After I finished eating, I got dressed, then I went out, and he followed me. When I came out, I saw that Myxy was outside with Karol, and both ears were at the door. Karol looked at me, and immediately his eyes widened. Then he chuckled at Myxy and also looked at me.

“What are you two doing?” I asked, then they arranged for us.

“Ahh... I’m gossiping; I mean... we’re waiting for you,” said Myxy, then she looked at Karol and hit his arm.

“Y-yes... she’s right,” he replied, and I gave them both a bad look.
