Ananya's POV~ I woke up with a sun light falling on my face. I just rubbed my eyes and stretched myself. I immediately went to the crib, I saw my baby who is one year three months old is sleeping peacefully who is now a world to me. I and his father ....no his father named him as Ayaan....Somehow I liked the name as well. My Ayu...is now my world. You may be wondering why I said his father... because he married me because he wanted me to take care of his son as his son is only comfortable with me. Although he hates me for what I did 9 months ago but he married solely for his son. I don't think I can say anything to him as I believe that I am also one of the reasons that he became like this... Okay....Enough of this boring stuff.. As Ayu is sleeping, I went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. I prepared a easy and smooth dish as it will be easy to consume to my baby. After making breakfast, I hear a faint cries from my room. I immediately went to my room to see my Ayu who is awake. "Ayu..Ayu baby", I took him in my arms and rocked him. He giggled looking at me. "Ayu..Ayu", I heard a familiar voice so I turned my back to see a cold ice berg. "Where were you? Why is he crying? Can't you do one job well?", he shouted early in the morning. Ayu got frightened by listening the scream. "I'm sorry", I said but I looked down. My tears are threatening to come out..Thankfully, I stopped them. "Ayu..Ayu baby...Smile baby..Nothing happened", I said smiling while caressing his cheek. He smiled again looking at me. Realization passed through his face. He took small steps and come towards me. He gestured me to give Ayu to him. I gave him and he carefully took him. He smiled looking at my baby. He only smiles looking at him. I took a chance to admire him but soon I got out from my world when he snapped his fingers in front of my face. "What? What are you looking at?", he asked looking at me with a cold expression. "N...Nothing", I said while looking at him nervously. "As you have holiday today, Do you want to spend time with Ayu or Can I bath him?", I asked in a low voice looking down. "I will bathe him today", he said. "You don't know how to..", I said. "Who are you to tell me what to do?I will bathe him...Final", he said while taking him. "Please..Listen...He is a small kid..What if you didn't do it properly. He can't tell you even when he is pain when you scrub him as you want..", I said making him understand. He stood silently listening to me. "Please give me..I will bathe him and you can spend the rest of the day with him ", I said looking at him. "Okay", he said while giving him to me. "Thanks", I said while taking him to the bathroom. He left from the room. "Baby...Let's go for bath now", I said in a babyish voice and he giggled as if he understood me. May be he is the one who understand me I placed him on my left hip. I started filling the water in the bath tub. I placed my hand in the water to check the temperature. After filling more water, the water was perfect for my baby's bath now. I carefully removed his clothes. I placed him in the water in the bathe tub. I took his small brush and brushed his teeth. After cleaning his mouth, I started wetting his body. I slowly started washing his body. He kept playing with water and throwing on me. "Ah..Stop playing, Ayu...Mom is drenched now", I said to him. He looked at me with his innocent eyes. "Ayu...Mom is fully drenched", I said again. He giggled and played again. "Ah!!!", I said . "Ayu...I will cut extra time of bath tub", I said and he looked at me. He pouted looking at me. "Your innocent eyes not gonna work with me", I said in a babyish voice and lifted him up from the bath tub. I took a fluffy towel and started wiping his body. I placed him on the bed covering with towel. After wiping his body, I started applying lotion for him. After that, I took him to small cupboard which was bought by his father. "Okay...Ayu", I called and he looked at me. "Baby..What color do you want?", I asked why looking at him. I touched red, he didn't smiled. I touched yellow, he didn't smiled. I touched blue(my favourite color), he smiled looking at that. "Okay..My Ayu is going to wear this", I said while placed him on the bed and made him wear his clothes. When the clothes are done, he started crawling on the bed. "Baby..You can't crawl on bed..", I said while taking him in my arms. I saw the time. I asked one maid to look after Ayu so that I can freshen up. I placed all his toys on the floor and made him sit on the floor. "Please take care of him until I freshen up", I said to the maid. "Of course, ma'am...Don't worry", she said while sitting with him. I immediately went to bathroom and freshen up myself. I wore a blue chudidar and duppatta. When I was drying my hair, I heard a shout and I immediately went out. "What do you think you are doing?", my husband asked in angry tone. I looked at Ayu who looks like he is about to cry. "Please take Ayu downstairs ", I said to the maid and she went after carefully picking him. After she went out with Ayu, he immediately slapped me. I immediately fell down by his brute force.. "What's wrong?", I asked while looking at him. "What's wrong? You have the audacity to ask that..Ayu's breakfast is late by twenty minutes...and he is playing on the ground with a maid", he said while looking at me with a glare. "Ayu is crawling now...It will be risk if we keep him on bed", I said while getting up. "As far as, breakfast...I'm sorry...My clothes got wet and I freshen up because I can't stay with him with wet clothes..He may get cold", I said with no expression. He just looked away. "Go downstairs, Ayu will be waiting for you", I said while looking at him. He immediately went off. After he went off, I applied concealer on the hand marks. I wore my nupital chain and covered it with my dupatta. I slightly placed vermilion on my hairline and hide it as he didn't like me to apply vermilion on my hairline. or maybe he didn't like our marriage itself or maybe he didn't like me. I immediately controlled my tears which are threatening to come out from my eyes. "It's okay...Don't..", I said to myself. "Ayu will be waiting for me", I said to myself. I immediately went downstairs. Some maids are looking at me with pity may be. I smiled at them. I saw my husband is playing with my son and spending time with him. I smiled looking at them. Ayu giggles filled the living room. I am happy. I immediately went to kitchen and I placed breakfast on the table. "Ayu...It's breakfast time", I said and he lifted his hands indicated me to take him. He looked at me...no glared at me when Ayu want me. He gave Ayu to me reluctantly. He also came to the dining room. Actually he is a American so I prepared English food for my husband. But I am Indian so I made Idli for my Ayu as it easy digest for him. I placed Ayu on my lap and took Idli on my plate so I could feed him. "He will eat with me today", he said in a cold voice. Of course it's a day off for him..which he hardly takes. He must spend time with Ayu. "Okay..", I said while I stand up and placed him on his lap. Ayu looks at me with confusion. He frowns. "Okay baby..Papa will feed you today", I said while sit on my chair. He calms down when I was not going anywhere.. "Baby..Eat this bread..", he said while placing a big piece for Ayu. "Austin...", I said. He looked at me. "Actually..make it a small piece", I said. He did and placed his hand in front of his mouth. Ayu ate it and he smiled. I looked at his smile. When I look at his smile, I forget all things he did to me for these nine months. I immediately looked away after few seconds..Because if he caught me staring...I don't know what he will do to me..I smiled looking at them. Then I finished my breakfast immediately as I should take Ayu so that Den can eat. "Give him to me..", I said while taking him. "No need..he will be with me..", he said while trying to eat with one hand and his hand is around Ayu. "You can eat first...so that you can spend time with him", I said looking at him. He just looked at me and I took Ayu with me to living room. "Ayu..Are you feeling alright?", I asked in babyish tone and rubbed his tummy. I slowly rubbed his tummy. "What happened to him?", he asked. "Nothing", I said to him. "Then why are you asking him if he's alright?", he asked me. Ayu burbed when I was rubbing the tummy. "Children need to burb after eating something", I said and he went away. "Leave me and my son for a while", he said. His temper...He didn't changed at all..even now..my son..only his son..What about me? "Okay", I said in a low voice. "Ayu play with dad...Mommy will make a grand lunch for you", I said smiling while going to kitchen. He giggled looking at me smiling. The one who understands me..My Ayu..My son I immediately went to the kitchen. Tears started flowing everytime he refers Ayu as his son. "Ma'am...", a maid placed her hand on my shoulder... All the maids know how he behaves with me. As there are only 4 maids in the mansion who are trustworthy to him. "Yes", I said while wiping my tears immediately. "Ma'am you need to sleep....Young Master slept late last night", she said. "It's okay, Nila", I said while looking at her. "Let's prepare lunch..", I said while going to fridge. I can't cry infront of strangers at all... "We're sorry..You know what happen to him.. ",she said. "Yes..Don't worry.. I don't blame him..Moreover, I responsible for this", I said while giving a small smile. "Okay..Enough of this stuff..Let's make lunch..Before it's too late", I said while cheering for myself. After preparing lunch, I went to the living room to see they both are nowhere to be seen. I went to the play room they are not there..I went to my room and they are not there..I reluctantly went to his room and see I think he asked something to Ayu and Ayu giggled so loudly. He look towards the door. "Don't you know how to knock?", he asked. "I'm sorry..I just got worried..Lunch is ready", I said and immediately closed the door. I washed my face and came downstairs and placed the dishes on the table. I saw Ayu and my husband coming towards the table. He sat keeping Ayu on his lap. Ayu started his naughtiness. He didn't eat anything from his dad's hand. "Ayu..Please eat, beta(dear)...", I said while pouting at him. He started eating without any complaints. He looked at me with shock. "It's just that, he eats with me daily", I said while looking at him. He just nodded. After eating, Ayu was somewhat sleepy. "It's his nap time..It's been one half hour since we ate...So Ayu can sleep now", I said while taking him from Den. When I was taking him, the dupatta fall down and he saw nupital chain in my neck. He saw me with his glaring eyes. I immediately adjusted my dupatta. "Ms.Nila..", he said. "Ms.Nila..Take Ayu to her room and be with him..", he said. "Yes sir", she said while taking Ayu with her. By seeing his anger, remaining maids went off and no one is there in living room. "You...Come with me..", he said while walking to one of the ground rooms. I don't have any choice but to follow him now. Okay..I will just say..it's not nupital chain...Yes..It's just my mom chain.. "Close the door", he said while standing in the middle of the room. I closed the door and looked down. "You know..What are you doing?", he screamed. I am scared...But I shouldn't give in today "What happened? I didn't do anything", I said with a fake confidence. Yes..I just need to fake ignorance...There is now way he will remember that...He didn't saw it for 9 months..He saw how it is on our wedding.. "Are you playing me?", he asked and sounded really pissed. "What? I didn't do anything", I said while looking away. "Remove that from your neck", he asked. "What?", I asked being scared. "Show me your chain..I will leave you...Remove it from your neck..Give it to me", he said as I keep on faking ignorance. "It's my chain..I will not give you..So Can I go now", I said while trying to get out..But he closed the door with a great force. He is now behind me..I can feel his chest on my back. "Just do what I said..or I will try another method", he said. "It's a normal chain..Why are you getting obsessed with it", I asked. "Let me leave", I said while opening the door. " Don't you dare..", he said and I stood still. "You don't know me..Don't test my patience", he said while Turing me towards him. Our faces are few inches away. He placed his hand on my dupatta and pulled it with great force. He looked at my neck and I closed my eyes. "Why are you wearing this? ", he asked. I just stood still. "I am asking you something...Why are you wearing this?", he asked while taking the nupital chain in his hands. "Please leave it..", I said while tears started falling from my eyes. "I asked...Why are you wearing this?", he asked again with full rage. "Because I am married to you", I said while tears are flowing from my eyes. "Please...I will not wear it again..It's my mistake", I pleaded him but he is looking at chain. "But..If you have it...You will wear it again...You may make mistake again...", he said and brutally destroyed the chain. "Oh no!!", I said while gathering all black beads from the ground. "I think you need to remember your place again..", he said while placing his foot on my hand. He stomped his foot on my hand and I yelped in pain. "Ahh!!", I yelped. "How can you do this? Why did you break the chain? It's not good for you in our tradition", I said while crying. "Why does it matter?", he asked. "Because you are my husband ", I said while picking up black beads. "I think you forgot something...This marriage was done solely because of my son..My son wanted you...So I married you...", he said. "Understood?", he said while looking at me. "He is my son..Only my son", he emphasized 'my son' and my patience reached my limit. "I am his mom...he is mine...", I said while looking at him. "What?", he said while looking at me. "Yes..I am his mom", I said confidently. "Oh..How so? Did you give birth to him?", he asked and I don't have any answer. Yes...I didn't give birth to Ayu...I am not his biological mother.. "It doesn't matter who gave birth to him..The whole thing, I am his mom..I will take care of him", I said. "Yes..You are just his care taker..and his mom in paper", he said sarcastically. "And your wife in paper", I said sarcastically. He glared at me. "Don't test my patience ", he said while making all black beads fall from my hands again. "Are you mad? I said it's not good for you..", I said while pushing him and I started picking up the beads. "Why do you care?", he asked while getting me up through my arm. I stood still. "Tell me...Why do you care?", he asked while looking at me. "Because you are my husband ", I said while pushing him again. He stood still. I looked at him. "Husband?", he said while looking at me. He sneered at me. "Hahaha..Do you think you can fool me?", he asked. "What do you mean?", I asked. "Do you think I don't know why you married me?", he asked. "What the hell are you speaking?", I asked. "Don't act smart...I know a young lady like you can marry anyone but you married me and acting like you love my son just for the money", he said. By listening to him, I heart got broke into million pieces. He didn't even try to understand in these 9 months.. "You are nothing but a gold digger", he said. I slapped him hard on his left cheek. "Why? Why do you disrespect me like this?", I said and tears filled my eyes. I just went out of this room. Tears are not leaving my eyes when I heard this from his mouth. My heart was broke into million pieces when he is calling gold digger. "Nine months ago, I should have believed him", I kept saying that myself. I went to my room and saw my son is sleeping on the bed. I saw Nila sitting beside him. "I will be with him...You can go", I said with a great difficulty. "Ma'am, Are you alright?", she asked. "I will be after some time", I said. She left and I locked my door. That self centered person has keys to it...He can open the door if he wants I slept beside my son. I looked at him and I forgot all my pain in a second. The happiness I get by being with him doesn't compare to his mean words. I slightly caressed his cheek. I placed a pillow on the other side. I slept on the other side. I slightly caressed his hair. "Baby...Why can't your dad understand a thing? May be it's my fault. I should have told truth before..I should have listened to him nine months ago", I said while tears are falling from my eyes. "No..I can't bare being apart from him now baby...I think I love him..You bought so many happiness in my life..but your father hates me..May be it's good..he should not get that bitter truth of me at all. I love you so much baby...My Ayu...", I whispered to him and slept next to him. Tears are falling from my eyes and closed my eyes. ****************Flashback*************** "Mom...I said that I will never marry anyone..by saying lies", I raised my voice in front of mom for the first time. "How can you say that? Do you want to be alone whole life?", she cried looking at me. "Then what? Do you want me to ruin the other person's life too?", I asked looking at her. "Why can't you understand my pain? You can tell truth after marriage..but you just say it before anything get started..", my mom said. "I can't....I just can't lie to the other perpn for my selfish purpose..Leave me alone..", I yelled. "Anu...Please understand...I will get a good person for you", she said again. "Dad...Please control mom...I will never lie....I just can't start my life with my loved one with a lie", I said while looking at my dad. My dad is looking at me with worry. "Anu beta..You will be alone when we...", I cut off my dad by saying, "Stop it dad..", I said and he looked down. "Dad..Please understand me..There will e someone who may understand me", I said. "Yes..we should leave this to God now...", He said and went off. I went to my room and tears started from my eyes. I am a doctor in general surgery. I work at a reputable hospital but these all are not my happiness. I think I was not fated to have happiness. God has given me good parents, good education and everything but doesn't given an ability to become a 'mom'...Yes..I can't be a mom as my uterus is too weak to hold a baby. I cried at my fate. My parents started setting up blind dates for me so that I can get married. The first thing I say before to that boy is that and they all reject me. I mean that's okay...It's their life and they can do anything. I just don't want to ruin their life by hiding truth. Some thanked me for saying truth. I just want to say truth to person whom I will marry. I will never start the relationship with a lie.. Never.... ************Flashback end************** Suddenly I felt a something on my hand. I opened my eyes in a flinch "My Ayu", I screamed in a hurry. "Ah!! Why did you shout?", I heard a Austin voice. I sighed in relief when I saw him. "I thought someone is picking Ayu..", I said and immediately looked away. "How did you come in?", I asked. "This is my house ", he said codly while patting Ayu's head lovingly. I smiled when I smiled in sleep. He slept on the other side of the bed with Ayu. I stood up and was about to go downstairs when he called me, "Anu"... "Why is he calling me?", I said to myself... "Yes?", I said. "So there is a party tonight..which I have to attend...So be ready by 7pm", he said. He want me to go after calling me gold digger.. "But you never took me to parties in these 9 months...Why today?", I asked. "Why should I explain you?", he said. Ah!! What the hell? I don't drink wine...There are many etiquette I don't know..I will only embarrass him.. "Austin..I don't think leaving Ayu here is a good option..You can go..I will be at house with Ayu", I said coldly. "I was not asking you...I'm telling you to be ready", he said and get up from the bed. He is eyeing me coldly.. "What does he think of himself? If he says something...then I must follow it? Am I a doll to him?", I said to myself. "Don't annoy me..Just do what I say...Did you forget the contract you signed?", he asked. I sighed helplessly. "Okay", I said in a low voice. "Good", he whispered near my ear and went off. My heart raced when he came close to me. I sat on the bed and looking at Ayu. "Ayu...What exactly your dad is thinking?", I asked him. I look at the time..It is almost 4...I should get ready. But dress!! I don't have any expensive gowns..What will I do? may be I should rent some dress... "Yay!! This dress is good...I will rent this dress", I exclaimed looking at the price..It is somewhat cheap. When I was about to pay rent, my mobile phone is snatched by someone, "Why the hell-", I stopped when I saw Austin standing in front of me. "You want to rent a dress?", he laughed at me sarcastically. "Yes..Because..You have taken my financial independence from me", I said while taking my phone from him. He glared at me. "I know..You are cheap...but don't show your cheap mentality here...Here take this dress..I have called make-up artists and stylists....They will help you", he said coldly. I gritted my teeth in anger. "Whatever", I said and went to washroom. When he talks ro me like that, My heart breaks everytime..Why I fell in love with him?? I can't cry in front of him at all. After I stabled myself, I went outside to see 2 girls standing in front of me. "You guys are?", I said. "We are here to help you...Mrs.Knight", they said. "Oh..You can call me Ananya..", I said smiling. "Sure..", they smiled at me. "Okay...Let's start", she said. "What kind of style do you want, Ananya?", she asked . "Something like natural...I don't want any intense makeup", I said. "Okay...Leave it to me..I will make you like a doll", she said. "What is your name?", I asked her. "I am Richa..she is Gina..", she said. "Okay..", I said. "Nice to meet you both", I said and she continue to do my makeup and talk with me. "Nice to meet you too, Ananya", They said. I smiled at her. "You are not from here, right?", Richa asked. "Yeah!! I am from India", I said. After around 2 hour of our chit chat..they completed my makeup and hair. "Okay..Now it's my time..I will help you with the dress", Gina said smiling. Suddenly, I heard Ayu is crying. "Let me just looked at him..", I said while going towards Ayu. "Sure", they said. After sometime, Ayu stopped crying seeing me...I placed him on my lap. I called Nila and she came. "Ayu...Mommy wants to wear a dress...Can you go with Nila..for a while?", I asked him. "Hmm..", he smiled looking at me. "Good boy", I said while caressing his hair. After that, he left with downstairs with Nila. They helped me with my dress. "Your son is so cute..What is his name?", Richa asked. "Yeah!! My son name is Ayaan", I said smiling. "Wow!! Cute name", they said smiling at me. After adjusting the dress, which is a gold dress with a sleeveless hand. "Done ", she said. I looked at myself in a mirror. "Wow!! You look great Ananya..", Richa chirped in happiness. Suddenly, I heard a deep voice..."How much time-", Austin suddenly stopped talking and looking at me. He stared at me. I was looking at him. I immediately break off the eye contact. They both giggled seeing us. "Ho...How much time do you need? Are you ready?", he asked coldly. How can he speak coldly to me? Can't he appreciate dress?! "Ananya.. is ready, sir", Richa said. "What did you just call her? Ananya?!", he raised his voice. We three flinched at his voice. "I told her to call me Ananya", I said all in a one go without looking at him. He sighed angrily. "Call her Mrs.Knight", he said and they nodded. "Now leave", he said coldly. "Okay sir", they both said and left while looking at me. I mouthed sorry to them. They just smiled and went off. "Let's go", he said and I nodded. We both went downstairs and Ayu looked at me with his innocent eyes. "Ayu...", I said while taking him in my arms. "Ayu..", I called and he giggled. "Ayu..I am going out with your dad...I will come fast..Will you eat dinner like a good boy?", I asked him. He always listens to me. I don't how it is possible...but I think he understand every word I say. He frowned. "I will come really quick", I said. "Can I have your permission, baby?", I asked him by showing my puppy eyes. He smiled at me. "Yay!! I will come quickly..But you have to eat dinner", I said while looking at him. He nodded and kept his head on my neck. I caressed his hair lovingly and gave him to Nila.. "Bye...Ayu baby", I said and I waved hand at him. He waved his hand looking at me. "Let's go", he said. "Okay", I said while looking down. When we went out, the driver opened the car door. I was waiting him to enter. "Go first", he said. "Hm", I said. Such a gentleman..But his cold face.. I sat in the car and he closed the door. He went to the other side and set beside me. As soon as, he sat on the car. He snapped his fingers to the driver. The driver immediately lift up the fence between the car. I looked at him and he looked at me too. He caught me looking. I immediately reverted my eyes from him. I looked out of the window. It's been really a long time when I came out from that big mansion. I smiled looking at the lights, the people, the busy street. I heard a sigh and looked at him. I leaned over the seat while keeping his hand on his forehead. "What happened?", I asked. "Headache", he said. "Did you take medicine?", I asked while placing my hand on his forehead. "I am fine", he said while taking my hand. I looked at him. "Let me just massage your head", I said. "You just need to keep your head on my lap", I said while looking at him. He slightly lie down while placing his head on lap. He closed his eyes. Why is he obeying myevery word? May be he is having pain so much.. I placed my hands on his forehead and started massaging slowly. He slightly showed a relief in his face. I smiled looking at him. I started caressing his hair and massaged his scalp and he groaned in relief. I smiled that he was somewhat relieved. I don't know when I started caressing his hair? I slightly caressed his cheek with my hand lovingly.
