Chapter 3: Silent treatment

Ananya's POV~

"It's over now...I can't change him. My patience ran out when he insulted me like this.. Literally flirting with Viraj..I didn't even step out of the house for 9 months..but he just blame me for everything", I said to myself.

"Ma'am your destination is arrived...", the driver said. I flinched at his sudden voice.

"Yes..Thank you..", I said.

"It's 20 pounds..", the driver said. I nodded while wiping my tears off.

What should I do? I didn't even have money in my purse..but I have my card.

"Could you accept card?", I asked.

"No ma'am..", he said. I sighed.

What should I do? This is happening because of him...He took my financial freedom from me..that I got to this state that I can't even pay a taxi fare..What my life has become?

Tears start falling from my eyes. I cried thinking what if he never gonna change?

"Ma'am...Are you okay?", the driver asked.

"Ha..Yes..", I said while wiping my tears off.

"Could you please wait here? I will go in and bring you the money...", I said.

He hesitated first and but nodded saying, "Okay ma'am ".

"Please be here..I will be right there in a minute", I said while getting off the car.

After I get out of the car, I was immediately pulled by someone. I screamed in horror.

"Please..save me...", I cried while closing my eyes in fear.

"Save me...Save me...", I cried while joined my hands closing my eyes.

When the grip got loose, I slowly opened my eyes to see Austin.

"Ah...Leave my hand...", I said while trying to get out of his grip.

"Stop it! Don't annoy me..", he said.

"Ahh....You are hurting me..", I said while tears are flowing from my eyes.

"Hey man...What are you doing?", I heard the driver voice.

"It's none of your business..", Austin said in annoyed tone.

"Stop it!! Leave me..", I yanked his hand away.

"Please wait for me here..I will bring the money", I said to the driver to which he nodded.

I went inside to get the money. Finally, I after checking my wallet...I got the money..Maybe I should ask the maid to draw the money from my account.

When I went outside, I saw only Austin standing there. The car was gone already.

"Where is the car?", I asked the bodyguard who is standing outside of the gate.

"Sir gave the money, ma'am", he said without any emotion. I sighed and went inside the house.

I heard the footsteps approaching me. I walked fastly inside the house. Suddenly, I was turned around.

"Ahh?!", I gasped in pain because of the grip.

"What do you think you are doing?", I asked in anger.

"Leave me..", I said. He just stood still.

"It's hurting...please..", I said while my tears are rolling down from my eyes.

His grip got loose on my arm. I sighed a relief.

"Where is your card?", he asked with a gritted teeth.

"Huh? which card?", I asked.

"Credit card which I gave you...for your expenses", he asked.

"It's...It's in my room", I said while looking down.

Ahh...What should I do? Will he take that card back or what? I saved it for the donation...What should I do? In these nine months, I never used his money..The money which he give monthly for house expenses, or for me.... I saved it and do donations for children's surgery who are in need...Does he know about that? Ah...What should I do?

"Can't you just carry that? You are tarnishing my reputation...You don't have 20 pounds with you...How will people think about me?", he yelled.

"Sorry...", I said.

"Do you even know anything other than this?", he asked. I just stood silent and not speak with him at all.

He sighed in frustration and ran his fingers in his hair. He went to his room and slam the door with a thud.

I flinched and slowly went to my room. I saw my baby is sleeping on the bed a d our head maid is in my room.

"Thank you for staying here", I said looking at the maid.

"You are welcome, ma'am..", she said and left. I closed the door and placed the pillows on the left and right sides of my baby.

I went to my bathroom and freshen up myself. I came out in my pajamas and shocked to see Austin in my room.

He sat on the bed and caressing my Ayu is hair. He is already in the pajamas.. Instantly, smile decorated my lips.

Then I remembered what he did a few hours ago...He insulted me...He kissed me forcefully...

He saw me and I immediately averted my eyes away from him.

I took my pillow and blanket and placed on the couch. I can feel his eyes on me. I ignored him. He sighed deeply.

I just laid on the couch and covered myself with the blanket. I sighed thinking what is happening in my life..How I should fix this mess?

I don't know when my eyes got closed.

I immediately wake up when I heard the faint cries of Ayu.

"Ayuu..", I said while going near him. I saw Austin sleeping soundly.

I took Ayu in my arms and went outside.

"Baby...What happened?", I asked in a babyish voice.

"Don't cry, beta...Tell me what happened?", I asked in babyish voice. He grabbed my pajama shirt tightly. I smiled..

"I'm not going anywhere..I am here only..my sweetiepie...", I said smiling at him. I caressed his cheeks softly..He calmed down after some time.. I started rocking him in my arms. When he slowly slept in my arms. I turned around to see Austin standing outside and seeing me.

I gulped looking at him.

What happened to him?

"What happened to him?", he asked looking at me.

"He was just disturbed in sleep.. He calmed down..", I said and went inside my room.

I placed him on the bed. I saw Austin laying beside Ayu. I was about to go to couch, but Ayu is holding my shirt tightly. When I tried to remove his hold, he again started crying. I can feel Austin glaring at me.

"Just sleep on the bed..damnit..", he whisperyelled. I just nodded.

When I laid beside Ayu. Ayu whimpers in fear. He immediately snuggled to me when he felt me near to him. I caressed his back slowly. Slowly, his whimpers got lower. Austin looked at me and then Ayu. I looked at him quizzically..thinking what is going on?

Soon we both slept on the bed and Ayu is in between. Just like Ayu is just reason why we both are together.

I opened my eyes when I feel sunlight on my face. I looked at Ayu sleeping. I saw Austin didn't wake up either.

I immediately went to my closet and took my dress. I went inside the bathroom to freshen up myself.

After freshening up myself and dressing up myself, I came out wiping my wet hair. When I saw Austin still sleeping, I immediately applied light vermilion on my hairline line which he will never recognize. I dried my hair. I applied little bit makeup and a bindi. I remember how he break the nupital chain. I need to go to gold smith for the repair..

I think I need to go to jewellery designer.. Let's see.

I saw the time, I can let Ayu sleep for some more time. I placed a pillow beside him for security.

I went downstairs and prepared the breakfast. I saw maids already started preparing it. I smiled at them and helped them for the breakfast.

After completing the breakfast, I went inside my room. I saw Ayu sleeping on the bed. I saw a pillow in place of Austin place. Austin is not the room now.

"Ayu...", I said while I laid beside him. Soon he woke up, he hugged me while wrapping his hands around my neck. I smiled and hugged him.

"Good morning, My Ayu...", I said while caressing his back. He giggled and nuzzle his face on my neck.

"Ayu...Ayu...", we both giggled at each other

"Is my Ayu..ready..for bath?", I asked him. He smiled.

"Come on...Let's bath...and we can eat breakfast...", I said.

I took Ayu to the bathroom. I started filling the water with correct temperature. Soon I bathed him. He played with the ducks in the bath tub for sometime. We both giggled.

I covered him in his fluffy white towel. I went to his closet. I touched the color of clothes. He chose the color which my dress matches. I smiled seeing his choice.

I kissed him on his cheek.

Atleast, he..my Ayu is on my side..He will never leave me...

After dressing him, I took him downstairs to the dining hall.

I flinched when I saw Austin is still sitting on the chair.

Why is he here? Isn't he always leave before 10? Why is he still here?

"What are you staring at?", he asked in his cold voice. I just ignored him. He rolled his eyes at me.

"Ayu...Let's eat, beta..", I said while placing him on my lap.

"Mrs.Knight...Let me serve you..", the head maid said.

"Ah..It's okay...I will serve myself..", I said smiling at her.

I saw her serving for Austin. Then slowly I started feeding my Ayu. He giggled but started eating. After sometime, the drama was on. He started his whining of not eating.

"Ayu...Eat...this..", I said in a babyish tone. He just looked away not wanting to eat.

"No baby...One more bite...", I said while gesturing my finger as one. He looked away and whining.

"Please baby...One bite..I will not force you again..", I said in a babyish voice again. Finally, he ate the bite. I sighed in relief.

I saw Austin is gawking at me and him. I cleared my throat and looked away. I cleaned his mouth.

"Ma'am, you can eat your breakfast...Let me take care of younger master..", the head maid said.

"It's okay..", I said.

"Please..Ma'am..You haven't even ate yesterday...Your health will deteriorate..", head maid said.

"Ahh..I am fine..", I said while asking her to stop saying things in front of him. I looked at him and immediately looked away.

"Ma'am..", she said.

"I said...It's okay...I will eat later.. ", I said sternly while I placed him on his left hip.

"Let's go baby...Let's play..train... train..", I said. He giggled in happiness. He clapped his hands.

When I was about to go, I heard a deep voice .

"Stop...", I heard his voice. I immediately stood still on my tracks.

"Nila...Take care of Ayu..until she eats breakfast..", he said. I immediately turned around to see him.

What is he doing? What is he even planning?

"Ma'am.. Let me..", the head maid said. She took Ayu from my hands immediately went off to my room.

I just stood there processing everything which is happening around me.

"Why are you still standing?", he asked. I just stare at him.

"Have breakfast...Can't you hear me?", he asked but I just went near the dining table.

When I was about to sit, he took my wrist in his tight grip.

"Can't you hear me? Can't you talk?", he yelled. I flinched at his sudden raise in his voice but still tried to loosen his grip.

"Utter a f*****g word..damnit..", he yelled. I looked at him with tears as his hold was very tight that my wrist hurts.

"L...Leav..Leave me....It...It...h..hurts..", I said while whimpering in pain.

"So..You can't speak when I am talking nicely..You provoke me to do this..", he said while leaving my hand. I stared at him with anger.

"What? Stop glaring at me...", he spatted his hurtful words on me.

"You better take care of my son..", he said while looking at me with anger.

My son? Still Ayu is only his son..He is mine..

Now my anger got increased when he said those words.

"Ayu..is mine as well..", I said while wiping my tears harshly from my cheeks.

"No..He is only my son..", he said while standing up. I stood up to fight with him.

"What do you think of yourself? I have took of care of him...I am his mother..He is my son..Don't you dare say this again..I will not tolerate it...", I yelled for the first time in these nine months. He looked at me with shock.

"Just because...I didn't reply to your taunts that doesn't mean I don't know how to talk...", I said.

"In these nine months, can't you sense that I don't need anything but a little respect and care from you..", I asked. He took a step back from me.

"But still I took all your insults just because of my Ayu...I want to be his mother..that's the reason...I thought at least you respect me but yesterday you proved me wrong in that as well...You .....forced ...me..", I said in broken voice.

"Don't I have any right to be angry after what you have done? I don't want to talk with you...If you don't remember..I never dragged Ayu in this fight..Yesterday I answered every question you asked about Ayu...", I said while tears are falling from my eyes.

"I am doing what you said...just minding my business..I will not interfere..or talk..in your life..", I said.

I closed my eyes and my heart broke into pieces.

"I will be in my place.. mother of my son..", I said.

"And your wife in paper..", I said while wiping my tears.

I immediately ran to my room. I locked myself in the bathroom. I cried my heart out. I shouldn't have fall for him when I know that he can't even bare my presence. My heart got heavy thinking about the hatred that I saw everytime in his eyes for me. I shouldn't have thought I will change him..He can't change that too not for me.

He always made clear that, he always hate me. I looked myself in my mirror..I am a mess...What I have been thinking these days? I can win his heart?

But why is he blaming me for nothing? Why is he still blaming for what happened nine months ago? Why is he still blaming me?

My tears are running from my eyes. Why? Why can't you see my sincerity? I haven't lied about anything to you...but You just don't care about me...Take me for granted...Why should I do to make you believe me?

Then my head got dizzy... I gripped the counter but it's of no use...All I can see us darkness in front of my eyes. Then I fainted.
