Jasper did as Nina asked. They both laid in the bed together as Jasper took her to the realm, each dragon she saw all bowed to her.
"I see our queen returned." Fox came up behind Nina, causing her to jump slightly. She turned to face him.
"Please forgive me, my queen." Fox chuckled softly at her jump.
"Hello Fox, I'm glad I can amuse you." Nina smiles, laughing slightly, shaking her head.
"What do I owe the pleasure? Seeing Jasper as remained in the human realm."
"I wanted to learn my responsibilities, please." Fox arched a brow looking at Nina curious
"Hm, I do believe that's your right, though with you still not having a mate, we'll have to work around that." Nina tilted her head. Why would having a mate affect her rein here?
"I see you're wondering. You're easy to read. Having a mate makes the bond with the realms stronger, meaning transporting from here to the human realm is easier since you have someone pulling you back there. Your mother..." Fox sighed, blinking a few times trying to hold some tears back. "She didn't find your father until she was twenty years old. By that time, she was already our queen for three years. Seeing her fight to return back to the human realm was..heart tearing. She found your father think the goddess after that, the transporting was easier. Though Jasper and I do believe her being here for three years, going back and forth until she did find your father took a hard toll on her body, making her weak." Hearing everything Fox said about her mother made her admire her more so. Fox and Nina walked around the bridge to the Kingdom, seeing more and more dragons bow to her. It sparked a warmth in her, she could not explain, not yet at least. Fox opened the front doors for Nina, letting her take the lead.
"Your mother was a force for sure. She could make anyone bow to her, dragon or human." Nina and Fox entered a similar office to the one she saw the first time she came here.
"Your mother was a rare gem. Fire is a blessing and a curse, I hope you can master that along with your other blessings." Fox sat in the chair as Nina sat on the sofa.
"Others?" Nina knited her brows together, confused.'There's more than one?' She thought.
"I'm sure with the tales, when your great ancestor called on a gift, breathe of fire, strength of thousands, and eyes to lead the way. Those are all your blessings. Sadly, your mother did not know how to master the other two."
"Right, I'm not understanding the eyes to lead the way." Fox nodded, leaning back in his chair.
"For me to explain it, I'll have to show you, I understand it will freak you out, but I ask you not to scream it hurts my sensitive ears." Fox arched his brow as Nina nodded. Fox sighed as his eyes closed, then sudden flickering open displaying his dragon eyes, they were yellow, his pupils going in a long horizontal shape similar to a cats or lizard. Nina slowly got up from the sofa, making her way around the desk, peeking closer at his eyes, noticing a dark shade of red going around his pupils mixing into his yellow orbs.
"This is the sight of a dragon, I'm guessing?" Fox nodded, flicking his eyes back. She never noticed his normal eyes until now. They were hazel with a small dot of brown in his right eye.
"Something the matter, my queen?" Fox asked with concern, Nina shook her head slowly.
"You have beautiful eyes." Fox face turned a shade of red, Nina noticed letting a light giggle leave her lips.
"I'm sorry, Fox, I didn't mean-" Fox shook his head smiling.
"All is well, my queen. It is late for you in the human realm. Perhaps getting started tomorrow afternoon would be better?" Nina knew what he was doing. He was embarrassed and wanted her to leave. Yet Nina nodded anyway, smiling.
"Oh, did my mother ever mention a Miss. Clear?" Fox rubbed his chin, leaning in his chair.
"I don't believe so, though it's been eighteen years. My memory isn't the greatest." Fox shrugged.
"I thought dragons had good memory?" Nina asked, tilting her head, causing Fox to brust out laughing.
"That's elephants, my queen." Nina made a small 'O' with her lips, then started giggling.
"Goodnight, my queen" Fox smiled
"Goodnight, beautiful eyes." Nina smirked, causing Fox to blush again as she returned back to realm in the same place she laid, only Jasper was gone and the window was open. 'Where did Jasper go off to?'
