My One and Only
When I was fourteen my entire family died in a car crash. I was the only survivor. In a span of minutes, I lost everything and my entire life changed forever. Let's just say I was never the same girl after that. And for years, I never thought I would ever be happy again. That is until I met him... Alex Robinson, my one and only. Alex Robinson, my boyfriend is the best thing that ever happened to me and I will never be ashamed to say it. I watch him, lying peacefully on our bed, his eyelids hide the most beautiful blue orbs I have ever seen. His skin is pale and almost completely blemishless He is so beautiful it almost hurts to look at him. The sun sneaks in through the curtains and casts a light on his face. I reach out and gently brush his platinum blonde hair. Whistle like snores escape his mouth indicating he is still fast asleep. I trail my fingers over the tattoos on his body. I have never been a fan of tattoos but Alex always told me that his ink told more stories than most words ever could. Stories of his life that he never wanted to forget. He had three in total. On his upper chest; were four doves flying away going down to his mid section. I moved down to his toned tummy that held three Chinese symbols for loyalty, family and honor. Just below, on the area around his torso where his shorts hung low exposed my favorite tattoo, the initials of my name K.L were neatly written in cursive italic letters. His simplest and smallest tattoo but it held the most meaning. My fingers lingered on the two letters that held so much promise, the two letters that still got my heart beating every time I saw them. Now that was a story that I knew too well. It was our story. "If that hand goes any lower, we just might never leave this bed." The groggy voice brought me out of my thoughts, I realized that I was still stroking the tattoo on his lower torso. I smiled and tugged on his boxer shorts to tease him. "Would that really be a bad thing?" I asked. Without warning. I felt him roll over so that he was on top of me, he put either of his hands beside my head to keep from putting all his weight on me. "Trust me, there's no place I'd rather be but as we both know, the world waits for no one, even you, beautiful." I took advantage of his imbalance to push him off me. He chuckled as he landed on his side. "Arg! Don't remind me! How is it already Monday?" He gave me a playful smirk, leaning on his elbow to face me. "Well Monday does come after Sunday, so..." "Oh shut it, Robinson." I told him before hitting him with a pillow. "Ow!" He spoke, exaggerating the pain. "You wounded me woman!" He moaned. "You better come back here and kiss it better." I quickly got off the bed and turned to address him. "Oh no, I am not falling for that, mister. We have a long day ahead of us, come on, get up." He quickly jumped out of bed landing right in front me. "Or..." He begun with a mischievous look on his face. Before I could react I found myself being thrown over his shoulder. "Arg! Alex! Put me down!" I yelled as I pounded my fists on his back. "What did you say my love? You want me to spin around? Well okay, if that's what you want." I screamed as he spun around in circles screaming for him to stop but my screams soon dissolved into hysteric fits of laughter as I started to get dizzy. "Oh no, getting dizzy, going down." He muttered. Alex dropped down on the bed with me landing next to me. We both burst out laughing. "Now, my lady, how about that kiss?" He chuckled. I laughed. "Okay, okay, just wait for everything to stop spinning." He rolled on top of me. "I can't wait, I must have it and I must have it now, fair lady. Or I might just die." I laughed. "Well if it's a matter of life and death my dear sir, you may place thy lips on mine." He grinned before leaning forward and pressing his lips to mine, my arms flew to the back of his head where they got lost in his blonde hair. My legs wrapped around his waist and he thrust his hips in more to be closer to me. I was still amazed that after almost two years, he could still get my heart racing like when we first met. I pushed on his chest, breaking our steamy make out session to his annoyance. I chuckled as he frowned at me. "Trust me baby, I really hate to do this but we both need to get to our jobs." Alex groaned but pushed himself off me none the less and pulled me up with him. He stole one last kiss before getting up and walking towards our closet. "Are you taking a later shift today?" Alex asked as he disappeared into our closet, probably looking for something to wear. "Yeah!" I responded as I started spreading my bed. "Tom needs me for the lunch hour rush and the evening dinners. I have a break in between though, around three-ish? I could come down to the office and we could have lunch." I work as an assistant chef in one of the more high end restaurants in town. Cooking has always been a passion of mine. Having graduated high school a year earlier, I did a Culinary course for two years before I officially started working as an assistant chef. "That would be great!" He responded. "Should I go with the blue or the black?" He asked as he held up two shirts. "Blue." I spoke as I walked towards him and pecked his lips. "It brings out your eyes." "What do you want for breakfast today, babe?" I ask as I start skimming through my dresses trying to find something to wear today as well. "Surprise me." He responds. "Whatever you cook is bound to be delicious." I smiled over my shoulder at him. "Keep flattering me and I'm going to get a big head." He comes up behind me and places a kiss on my cheek. "I'd love you and your big head either way." I giggled. "I'm going to take a shower." He announced as he pulled away and turned to go to our bathroom. "Okay, I'll have breakfast ready by the time you're out." I told him. "Awesome!" He sang before shutting the bathroom door. "What a dork." I laugh under my breath. I heard the water in the bathroom running. I was about to make my way out of the room to get started with his breakfast when I heard a beep. "Alex! Phone!" I called out. No response. He obviously couldn't hear me over the water. I shrugged, it was just a text message anyway, he would see it when he got out. Just to make sure it wasn't something urgent from his boss, I picked up the phone to see who had texted. I furrowed my brows. The number wasn't saved but there was a message on the scree. You can't ignore me forever. I will find you. There was no number listed. What the hell was that about? I decided to shake off the weird feeling I got. It was probably nothing. I tried to tell myself. Maybe it was a wrong number? I put the phone down, it was wrong of me to be snooping anyway.
