Chapter1
late at night.
In a small private room of a nightclub, a woman sat on the sofa and looked at the man lying in front of her for five minutes.
" Selena ..." Ajay may have thought she was asleep, so he whispered a reminder in his ear.
There was a person lying in front of him with a bruised nose and a swollen face. How could he possibly fall asleep?
Selena asked: "Which number is this?"
"Ah?" Ajay reacted for two seconds and replied: "The fourth one."
Selena : "Who found him?"
Ajay pursed his lips: "I'm looking for...this is my good buddy, he used to be really ruthless!"
Selena responded indifferently.
Ajay : “Maybe I was nervous and didn’t perform well this time.”
Selena was quiet for a while and said, "Let's take her to the hospital for a checkup first."
Ajay : "Okay."
The person was carried away, and Selena leaned back.
The lights in the private room were a condensed blue-purple, and the air conditioner was turned on very low. Sitting on the sofa for a long time gave me the feeling of being immersed in the deep sea.
After smoking a cigarette, Selena curled her lips and walked out, stopping at the door of a room at the end of the corridor.
The door to the private room was unlocked, so she went in directly.
This is a themed private room, and the room is full of pink, which unexpectedly matches Gideon 's floral outfit. He was having a heated interaction with a girl. Passionate electronic music was playing in the private room, and Gideon was immersed in the world of rhythm and couldn't extricate himself.
The girl was lying on the wall. Because Gideon was too tall, he covered her completely. Looking from behind, he thought he was drying the wall.
The sound of the door opening startled the girl, and she pushed Gideon away .
"Someone is coming!"
"Shh, the store belongs to me, what are you afraid of?"
The girl was still a little embarrassed.
"Come on, brother, let me cover you." Gideon smiled, took off his coat, wrapped the girl, and turned around.
Their eyes met, Gideon said: "Broken again?"
Selena : "Uh-huh."
Gideon licked his teeth. This was his habitual action, and he did it every time he encountered something troublesome.
Selena : "You are busy with your business, I just want to inform you."
He stopped her: "Ten minutes, wait for me at the bar."
Gideon got the time right and showed up at the bar on time ten minutes later. The bartender was cleaning the glasses. When he saw him coming, he greeted him respectfully and prepared a glass of tequila in front of him.
Gideon rolled up his sleeves, had a cigarette in his mouth, and spoke a little sluggishly.
"Is the injury serious?"
"It's not heavy, it didn't move any muscles or bones."
Gideon sighed.
"If these brats had one-tenth of the demeanor that I had back then, they wouldn't be beaten like this."
"Who told you not to protect your waist?" Selena said calmly, "And you didn't let me do it."
Gideon rolled up his sleeves to his elbows, held a cigarette between his fingers, picked up the glass and took a sip of wine.
"The rules must not be broken. Have you found out what happened?"
"The boss didn't find out, but the thugs did." She took two photos and gave them to him. "I used to be a boxer. I just came here not long ago."
Gideon brought a photo, a man about thirty years old, with short hair and an ordinary face.
After looking at it for a while, Gideon smacked his lips: "A fierce man."
Selena was noncommittal.
"Can we get in touch? If you can't win, don't fight. Just poach him."
"I tried it, but it didn't work."
"This means that the handle has been grasped...forget it..." He put down the photo and drank the wine in a sip. "Then find someone. There will be a brave man with a lot of money."
"How about not."
"A common man can do it, but he will be killed by chariots and chariots." Gideon burped and laughed at himself, "The older a man gets, the more shameless he becomes."
The night is long.
When Selena came out of Bly, the main road at the door was busy with traffic and all kinds of lanterns and advertisements were shining brightly.
She first called Ajay to make sure his buddy was fine.
"Sister, my brother wants to recommend someone."
Selena said nothing.
"It's really fierce this time!"
" Ajay ."
"I’m here."
"We have lost four people in a row, and we only have five fingers on one hand."
Ajay paused for three seconds.
"What does this have to do with fingers?"
I don’t know, she was making random analogies, maybe it was too late at night and her mind was not clear.
"Anyway, we can't lose anymore. Where do you want your brother Gideon to put your face?"
"I feel like the boss doesn't care much about face."
"Can you tell that he cares about face?"
Ajay was quiet for a moment and then started to sell again: "You'd better go meet the person recommended by my brother. There's nothing to lose. What if he is a master?"
"Can your brother still know the master?"
"Don't look down on people!"
Selena pondered for a while on the side of the road and said, "Okay, give me your contact information."
Anyway, the night is still long and there is plenty of time.
…
In the middle of the night, Selena found an ordinary barbecue restaurant on the roadside based on the address given by Ajay .
She stood at the crossroads, looking across the street. A few tattooed gang members were sitting at the entrance of the shop, chatting and smoking.
The trees cast a gloomy shadow.
The traffic light was counting down the seconds.
Just then, a figure loomed up beside her, standing parallel on the zebra crossing.
Selena glanced with her peripheral vision
The tall young man dressed in a school uniform with his hands in his pockets and a bag slung over one shoulder. He emanated an air of quiet simplicity that made it easy to overlook his well-built physique at first glance.
The dim streetlight stretched his shadow out long.
When the green light came on, he took the first step.
Selena watched his back; considering his age,, his physical development was quite impressive—broad-shouldered and long-legged, with sleeves rolled up to his elbows revealing smooth, rugged forearms. His muscles were sturdy, akin to those of a rugby player.
It seemed their destinations were the same.
When he was four or five meters away from the stall, the group of gangster-looking people noticed him. He walked up to them, and they looked at each other for a moment. He asked, "Who is Fat Tiger?"
The voice was low and not very polite.
Selena put her hands in the pockets of her windbreaker and watched from a short distance away. They even looked for the same person.
The gangster at the head sneered: "Who are you? What do you want from Brother Tiger?"
"Let him out," he said.
