“You think you’re smart enough, because you’ve spent your whole life building walls in order to protect yourself from monsters.
But those monsters were close enough not to be reached,
Sometimes they are family
sometimes they are friends
And most times; monsters are those who claimed to love you more than they even love themselves.”

Gabriella
I turn around to see Matt coming up to our table irate, as the whole restaurant stares. Jaxon and Neil, come around the table to step in front of me.
I link the warriors to stand down, and Sarah gives me a perplexed look.
“Gabs did you tell him where we were going to be?”
“No, I didn’t.”
I wonder how he found us? Maybe I left the information out at the condo. As Matt approaches the table, I feel Penny stir.
“What the f**k Gabriella? I thought you said you were going on a trip to relax, not go on a double date. Where did you meet these guys Sarah?” Matt bellows.
Before I have a chance to respond, Sarah retorts, “What are you implying Matt?”
“You know damn well what I’m saying Sarah. Don’t act dumb.”
“I’m far from dumb, but let’s redirect this conversation, what the hell are you doing here?” Sarah says.
Matt turns to me, and says, “I wanted to see Gabby. I missed you baby, and I wanted to see you.”
“Matt, I thought you started a new job, how are you here and how did you know where to find me?” I respond back.
“Well, I went by your condo and saw you were moving out. Did you think that I wouldn’t notice that my girlfriend planned on ghosting me?”
“When we left, we weren’t on the best of terms, and I did not ghost you. You’ve made no attempt to get in touch with me since we left for Hawaii. You still haven’t answered my question Matt. How did you know where we’d be?”
Before Matt could answer, Jaxon links me, “Uhh Alpha, we have company.”
I look up and see my parents and Arabelle at the bar.
Matt shakes my arm, “Gabby are you even listening to me?”
“Matt, let’s not do this right now. Excuse me.” I go to get up when Matt grabs my arm, I hear Penny growl in my mind, and see Neil and Jaxon’s eyes darken.
“The lady said excuse me, the polite thing would be to let her pass.” Jaxon says with his teeth clenched.
I break away and walk towards my parents. As I approach them, Arabelle engulfs me in a hug. “Princess, I’ve missed you!”
“Thanks Arabella, I’ve missed you too. Mom, Dad, what are you all doing here?”
“Honey, your mom found something while they were at your condo.”
“Dad, I’m an adult, and will be Alpha soon, I’m allowed to ha…” My father covers my mouth with his hand.
“Gabriella, there are things a father does not need to know.”
My mother and Arabelle start laughing at my confusion. “What are you talking about dad?”
Arabella nods at my parents, and my mom walks to me and grabs my hand, “Gabriella, we found this chain at your house.”
I look at the chain, “Oh, that’s Matts. Actually, strangely enough, he just showed up.”
“Where is he right now?” My father demands.
“Dad he’s the tall muscular blonde dude over there talking to Neil, Jaxon and Sarah. Why what’s going on?”
“Why don’t you introduce us?” my father suggests.
I nod, and as we walk over to the table. “Sarah, where did Matt go?”
Sarah bows, “Alpha, Luna, Arabella. Alpha Gabriella, he said he was going to go check into his room.”
“Well let’s sit down and eat. We can order more food, but lets get some extra plates until we can put more in.”
“Alpha, Alpha Pete, and Luna can have our meals.” Neil says, and Jaxon nods.
“Nonsense, we will do what Gabby said, and share. Dinner is on us tonight.” My mom says to the group.
Matt
F*ck what are Gabby’s parents and that stupid witch doing here? They’re going to ruin everything.
“Matt, get your sh*t together. We need to make Gabby ours soon, before she realizes who we are.”
“No sh*t Bear. I get it, but how the F*ck do we accomplish this? Her parents are here, they found our chain, we need to contact Katie to get in touch with the dark witch so we can spell her into thinking we’re her mate.”
“Do you actually think that will work? We both know Gabby is gifted, we just don’t know what her powers are.”
“Good point. What do we do?” I ask my wolf. I feel him pace back and forth in my mind.
“Matt, you know we’ll have to contact that psycho, Katie. Then we’ll have to claim Gabby as ours. There’s no other way.”
“I wonder if our mate is rolling around in her grave?” I smirk at the thought. Bear hated her from the moment we saw her.
“Ha ha ha, that stupid wolf was a fool to think that she would be ours. An omega, with no stature could never be mated to us. We were supposed to have Gabby be our mate. Why wouldn’t the goddess pair us together in the first place? Just think we’re taking our own steps to correct this mistake. We were born to rule, with Gabby’s powers our future pups will be unstoppable. We will be the most feared pack in the world.”
I end the link with Bear. How am I going to get this to work?
