Chapter 7: The Tradition of Feysac Kingdom

“Perhaps some of you will feel disappointed when you find out that the Battle Spirit you just obtained doesn't look useful in battle, but don't worry too much about it. There are no useless Battle Spirit abilities, it's just that you yourself still haven't been able to find a way to make use of your Battle Spirit abilities."

“Which one of you has the Battle Spirit ability to speed up body recovery?”

When the Spirit Warrior Captain of the White Camellia Group asked the youths in the town square a question, William saw that several of the boys and girls had raised their hands with doubtful expressions on their faces.

“It's true that the ability of a Battle Spirit to speed up body recovery may seem useless in a battle Spirit Warrior-level trainee like you, but that doesn't mean it will completely become a useless Battle Spirit.”

“If you can increase the Battle Spirit's ability that can accelerate the body's recovery to the peak of its ability, then that Battle Spirit's ability will be feared by many other Spirit Warriors.”

Even though William couldn't see the expression behind his white mask, only hearing from the change in his tone William could tell that the captain of the White Camellia Group had a proud expression plastered on his white mask.

“Why does he feel proud just for saying that? Is he talking about someone he knows? Or did the experience come from himself?”

William said it silently as he saw the captain in the white mask walking towards his own horse and riding it. The 29 Spirit Warriors behind him also rode their horses.

Then William saw that the captain in the white mask was looking back and was looking towards the center of the town square.

With his voice so loud that it reached everyone's ears, the white-masked captain said, “As you all know that every citizen of the Feysac Kingdom who has just completed the awakening ceremony is required to carry out the first task the kingdom has given him. This year we from the White Camellia Group have been selected as the 30 Spirit Warriors assigned to protect you on your way to the Forest of Death.”

“This is a tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation by the first founder of the Feysac Kingdom, namely King Lurk Feysac. This tradition aims to screen out people who don't have the potential to become True Spirit Warriors, it's all done to save resources."

By the time that sentence was finished, there was a lot of commotion. Some of them were people who were dissatisfied with the government's attitude towards weak people like them.

Even though they knew that complaining here was completely useless, they still couldn't help but express their dissatisfaction with the tradition.

They already know about the reality in this world that only the strong can be allowed to live, it's just that not everyone is born physically and mentally the same.

But unfortunately the white masked captain didn't care at all about the teenagers' annoyance, he just made a signal with his hands for everyone related to the awakening ceremony to follow him to the Forest of Death.

William could only follow them all with his head down as if he was thinking about something.

“Filming people who have the potential to become true Spirit Warriors? They actually dared to make the decision to choose a quality human just to save resources? How bad is the situation for humanity?”

Even though William had known that the current situation of mankind was not at the top of the food chain but at the bottom of the food chain, but he never expected that they would have to get rid of each other just for the sake of a lump of resources.

“After all, the situation in this world is not much different from that on planet Earth. It is human nature that whoever can give them an advantage, that person will be given an attractive award by the beneficiary. but for me, all this is just an opportunity for potential seekers to find who can be trusted as partners in my future plans.”

After he finished saying that in his heart, William gave a sinister look towards the royal palace. For him, this is all the first step to find a strong partner for the benefit of his plans in the future.

William knew that no matter how strong a person was, they would not be able to change the world with just one person's strength. If it was true that one strong person was not enough to change the entire world order, then what if he created an organization that contained many strong people from all over the world?

Therefore, William's current goal is to find a trusted partner to be one of the founders of the organization that will be formed in the future.

William never thought that the organization he would form in the future would not only consist of the human race, but that there were three beings from races other than humans. The three races that are members of William's organization will later have a great influence in the rise of the human race who will stand at the top of the food chain.
