Chapter 2: World of Gods

1207 Words
"Do you believe in fate?" When William listened to that question, the expression on his face immediately turned strange, “No, I never believed in fate one bit. I never believed in such a pitiful thing as a person's destiny is predetermined from the moment they are born!” “Hahahaha, as I expected from the intelligent-minded human's answer. From the past until now intelligent humans will never believe in something they can't accept!” The figure of the Truth could only laugh out loud when he heard William's response. William slightly frowned upon hearing the words of the Truth. Although William believed that the Truth would never say nonsense to a lowly human figure like himself, but for William the words that came out of the mouth of the Truth were very difficult for him to accept. If the course of human life was predestined from the moment they were born, then that would be the single saddest truth for humans to accept. “It seems that you don't seem to believe what I say? How about I show it to you in person?” With a wide grin plastered on the face of the Truth, a white light instantly flew out of the gate of truth and flew towards William's body who was floating in the starry sky. In the next moment, William felt his consciousness slowly begin to dissipate. Before he lost consciousness, he heard the sound of happy laughter emanating from the Truth. “Hahahaha, I'm really looking forward to the future where you will destroy the world of gods!” --- In the southern continent of the world of the gods. There is a kingdom called Feysac Kingdom. In an uninhabitable building site, there was a teenage man who was lying motionless without any sign of life. The teenage boy's body was covered with countless wounds, like someone who had just been badly beaten. The body of the teenage boy who should have been unable to move anymore, began to tremble like someone who had just woken up from his eternal sleep. "Uhhh...." The teenage man's body slowly opened his eyes. "Ouch!" William little by little began to sit up while holding back the pain that was in his body. "What is happening to me? Why are there so many bruises on my body?” When William touched the skin beneath his clothes, he suddenly breathed cold air. He saw that there wasn't a single spot on his entire body that was fine, almost his entire body was covered in bruises like he had just been beaten by someone. At the moment William was confused by this mysterious incident, he immediately felt a stream of memories had entered one by one into his brain. In just a glance, he immediately understood everything that was happening. "I didn't expect that to have transmigrated to another world!" William whispered in a low tone while digesting the memories of the previous owner of this body. The original owner of this body turned out to have the same name as himself, namely William Stedfort. Even though the original owner had the same name, they both had different family surnames. The William of this world has the Stedfort Imperial family surname who hails from the central continent. But unfortunately even though he was born into the imperial family, he was born to a mother who was supposed to be a servant in that big family. Although many people looked down on him, but they did not dare to speak ill of him because the biological father of this original body was an emperor. What's more, no one dared to mock him before the resurrection ceremony at the age of 16 began, because still no one knew what kind of resurrection the owner of this original body would obtain. But all that changed after an accident at the age of 10, no one would have thought that the place where he and his birth mother lived had been attacked by a group of black robes. After the attack that night, the biological mother of this original body was found dead with her body covered in blood. Meanwhile, the owner of this original body was lucky to have survived because he fell into a pool of water before being shot in the head. But that luck had a price to pay, it was that his brain intelligence had decreased and became a real i***t. After everyone within the empire including his own biological father heard of the condition of this original body, all of them without the slightest hesitation immediately threw it onto this remote continent so as not to embarrass the imperial family's name. And this William has been in the southern continent for 6 years, he has been living together with someone who has adopted him. It could be said that the owner of this original body was very lucky to still be able to live for 6 years because someone kind-hearted had adopted him. Just looking at the memories that entered his mind made William subconsciously open his mouth and say one sentence with his mind blank. “Destiny….” Instead of feeling sad or angry because he had digested all these memories, William felt more like laughing mockingly at the reality in front of his eyes. “Is this the meaning of a destiny that doesn't have the slightest feeling for sentient beings? Ever since he was born into this world, then the owner of this original body is indeed destined to live in a slump!” William somehow immediately remembered the adage on planet earth. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. “The Truth, did you transfer my soul to this body just to change this child's destiny?” “No, I never believed that my transfer to the world of the gods was that simple.” “What is the meaning of his last sentence? Am I destined to bring destruction to the world of the gods?” As William thought of a question that puzzled him, he began to see the black sky filled with beautiful stars behind the window. William felt that the transfer of his soul to this world had been shrouded in a gray mist filled with mystery, he felt that within the gray fog there were countless mysterious figures that could only be revealed as his strength grew stronger. "Interesting! Does the Truth want to use me to disrupt the world of the gods from within? No, could it be that I had been made a pawn in the game he was playing with the other gods?” When William thought about all the possibilities that could happen to his life, the shape of his mouth involuntarily formed a wide grin. That expression of hers was as if he was admiring how complex the game the gods were playing. "Has my destiny been determined to bring destruction to the world of the gods?" “If it's destiny that I have to do, then I gladly accept that fate! But don't ever think that I will forget what you did, it's because whoever plays my destiny I will make them regret it!”
