Chapter 4

Hunter POV

"They are here sir" my secretary informed

"Good, let's join them then" I picked up my phone and headed out.

My secretary joined me and we headed for the elevator.

It will be a long day

As I got close to the office, I felt my wolf getting excited. Just as I thought of questioning why the sudden excitement, I perceived the most delicious and addictive aroma. I could get drown in it and I'll die a happy man

It smelt like morning Dew mixed with peach... I was instantly addicted to it. I wanted to smell it even more.

It wasn't just my wolf going excited now, I was too and I had an idea of what had happened

"Alpha" my secretary voice made me realize where I was and how I almost lost control and nearly changed right there in public

"Thank you Sandra" I thanked her "Give me a minute" it was hard not to go in there and find the source of this addictive aroma but I knew I had to be rational about it

I had an idea what it was about, I had seen my pack members experience this type of thing a lot of times.

"Congratulations Alpha" I heard Sandra whisper. She must have guessed what was going on with me

I returned to my office where I finished five bottles of water and I had to have a serious talk with my wolf about not losing control.

There is a possibility our mate is human since he or she did not come out when I was at the door. Had she been a werewolf, she would surely perceive me just like I did her

We don't want to send her running

On getting into an agreement with my wolf, I ran out wanting to finally put a face to the one person I have been waiting for all my life.

I took a deep breathe in before going into the meeting hall

"Gentlemen, ladies" I greeted the team who were seated.

My eyes fell on her effortlessly

Beautiful

That's the word to describe her

Oh goddess, thank you for this great blessing

My wait was worth it!

"Hello sir" everyone responded

"I am sorry for keeping you all waiting for so long. We may start" personally I was apologizing to her only. Call me whatever but I don't give a f**k what every other person present thinks even if I kept them seated for a day but her

I am definitely concerned about her opinion of me

After the initial speech, the presentation started and she and her team had to excuse us for the other company to present. I was truly disappointed. I wished I could make her stay

Should I just call this off, let her stay in here with me, and give the contract to her company?

I just wanted them to say we are done and for her team to come in

But it's expected of me to ask some questions so I went through their proposal and asked a few questions before dismissing them with the promise that they will be contacted if they won.

This went on for three other teams before I noticed it was their turn

My wolf was back to being super excited. I closed my eyes to avoid them noticing the fluctuating change in my eye color

"Good morning sir, we are the team representing FAH. I'm Director James head of this team" FAH! So she works at a great place.

FAH has always tried setting a meeting with us, I had once black-listed their name from people I would meet since they decided to insult Gregor and a few others by bringing in bribes!

Normally, I would have disqualified their team but seeing her beautiful face right now, I can't bring myself to do it. Her honey-like brown eyes stared back at me but when she figured I won't be looking away she shyly turned away.

That made me smile, at least I have an effect on her

I felt like dancing but I had to stay seated like the big boss I am and pretend I am not soaked in my sweat right now!

"Sit" I told them.

Won't they introduce themselves!

I'm dying to know her name!

"After going through the proposed project, our team... " the director started

"And your team members are?" I hated that I had to ask

"I'm Louis Robert sir, an architect" I nodded absentmindedly

"Carter Vincent sir, an architect" f**k off no one cares but I had smiled and nodded too

"Bianca sir, Bianca Mathew" finally it's her turn

"Hazel Easton sir" her name is just as beautiful as her and her voice, it's like music I could listen to all my life without getting tired of it.

If she weren't my mate, I have no doubt I would still have been attracted to her, she is perfect!

Exactly the kind of lady I had dreamt of...

Noticing how creepy I might look with a smile on as I stared at her, I cleared my throat

"We can start" the other lady... What was her name?

Well she stood up and began the presentation. I couldn't help not looking back at my mate

I finally found you! Was the thought in my head

I could scream to the world but I have to stay calm. Just having her in the same room as I am made me realize how big the significance of a mate really was

I should meet those who had a human mate and find out how they were able to do it and not scare them off because I believe and feared I would scare her off soon. With how I keep on looking at her she might be too scared to come back.

I noticed how everyone's eyes except hers were on me so I turned to look at the screen

"I guess I'll see you at the next meeting" was I referring to them all

Definitely not!

I didn't even hear a single word of what the presenter said

I only want to see one person but knowing how impossible that would be, I have no choice but to see them all

I saw their blooming smiles before they all left the room

"Luna is beautiful. You two will make cute children Alpha" Sandra said as she shifted close with a smile on her face

"Thank you" I replied picturing her word in my head and how great was that?

"I knew you would awe him Bianca. Good job" with how good my hearing was, I heard the said Bianca been praised. My mate voice also congratulated her on the successful presentation
