                She rubbed her eyes, even if she was not exactly sleepy. But she did it carefully under the shielding cover of her quilt. It won’t do if the other servants find out she was sniffling rather than napping. Thank goodness her “sister” was there to politely shoo away anyone who was curious enough to poke around their chambers and ask awkward questions.                   Lani was, however, an exception. She may not have been there, but Aryah told her everything. Or rather, her side of the story. And the woman who was more of a true big sister to her than her other sisters listened. She did not offer any useless, ill-thought words of useless advice. She embraced her instead, having known long ago that a comforting silence is much more effective than noisy chattering.
