Xander’s golden eyes gleamed with cruel amusement, his paws thudding heavily on the ground as he slowly moved toward me. Toying with me, taunting me to run. But I wasn’t going to. The moment Xander’s massive wolf form finally lunged, I knew I’d made a mistake. There was no way I could win against this monster, no way to even survive.
