Estella’s POV The first strike came out of nowhere—just a flicker of silver in the dark that I barely managed to dodge. The blade nicked my arm, and searing pain exploded from the wound. It reminded me of when Xander used a silver blade on me, but this was ten times worse because each of the masked people was armed with those weapons. There was no way to fight this. I had to run. I stumbled backward, clutching the wound, but the moment I turned to run, a shimmering wall of light enclosed the entire corridor, cutting me off from the outside world. I turned to face the hooded figures, watching them circle me like predators closing in on ‌wounded prey. Except I was no prey, and I wasn’t going down without a fight. I called for my wolf, but I couldn’t hold on to my focus with my emotions
