Chapter Ten Romey inhaled deeply under the late afternoon sun. Clouds moved overhead, casting her in shadow as she looked off in the distance. Twenty feet away stood a colorful target with a green bull’s eye. The target was mostly used for archery practice, but Romey had a different use for it today. She squared her shoulders. With another inhale, she checked the alignment of her spine, visualizing that each disc of her spine was stacked perfectly straight, one on top of the other.
