Chapter Six Romey stared at the plastic couple in the trash heap. They didn't resemble her and Spinelli, not really. The artist hadn't captured Spinelli's strong jaw and massive shoulders that were like a great brown bear's. Neither did the bride figurine look much like Romey. The plastic caricature’s hair was smooth, nothing like Romey’s springy hair that would never be permanently tamed. And there were no freckles on the molded woman’s cheeks. She couldn’t truly blame the artist. Romey’s features didn’t fit any mold. Most people drew redheads with freckles. Romey's mother had been a redhead.
