New Pack, New life

It was a long drive to my Uncles pack as they lived a few states away. My Uncle being older then my mom became Alpha of the Red River Mountain pack at the age of 18 after finding his mate. Who also happened to be my moms best friend. My mom used to tell me stories about how  it happened, and that my aunt thought my uncle was crazy. See we don't get our wolf until we turn 16 and we find our mates between 17 and 18, my uncle however already being 18 new my aunt was his mate however she told him to drop dead, and literally laughed in his face because she didn't believe that she was his mate. My aunt thought it was some sick joke my mom and uncle were playing on her until her 17th birthday, a week from his 18th, The day she turned 17 and she realized my uncle was telling the truth, he was so broken hearted thinking she was going to reject him. Mom said he mopped around the pack for days. Mom never did tell me what happened after he realized that she wasn't going to reject him,  as she always had a crush on him but until he found out she was his mate he never gave her a glance. I was bought once again from my thoughts as we pulled up to the pack house gates, on either side stood a huge wolf statue, The statues where in a sitting position with a growling head, mom rolled down the window as a muscular man, with short cropped military style hair walked over and bent down. "State your name and business" his tone was harsh and his face showed no emotions.    

    "I am Merinda Adeline Williams, Luna of the once Crystal moon pack I have permission from my brother Alpha Scott James Edwards to be here as myself and my daughter are joining his pack." my mother told the guard, although our pack is pretty well gone, my mom still retains her title as Luna of the crystal moon pack. My thoughts wandered to my best friend who was named after my mom. Adeline was only a year younger then me, but my mom happened to end up best friends with her mom after my mom saved her moms life, though being only a year younger we were Inseparable. Tears started to run down my face again as we drove through the gate. " huny are you alright?" my mom asked me with a worried expression. " yes mom I'm ok just thinking about what happened to Adeline." my mom sighed, "huny I miss everyone to but they wouldn't want us to morn forever, They would want us to live our life's, same as I am sure we would want them to do." my mom said to me, and I tried to think about it but I just couldn't think that Adeline would want me to forget her though I know my mom wasn't saying to forget her. After about 20 minutes we finally reached my uncles pack house, and my uncle, his wife, and my 3 cusions  were standing there waiting for us, I've seen my cusions a few times over the years but at the moment I can't seem to remember.
