There in the bathroom, Victoria hid in one of the booths. She didn't expect to see the man that she saw. It was all like a dream to her. "How on Earth is he here?" She asked herself.
She could feel her fingers tremble and she bent a bit to see for herself. They were. She was in deep panic mode.
Sweat rolled down her face as she wondered what she was to do next. Her she-wolf threatened to break free from within her and she struggled to hold it back in. It was a battle that took a lot of her strength. Yet, she knew too well that she couldn't allow it to happen.
She succeeded after a few minutes to hold it back in. Right there on the floor where she sat, she thought about what she had to do next. She couldn't see King. Rather, she couldn't let him see her. She just wanted to find her way out of the place as quickly as possible. She wanted no encounters with him at all.
Yet, she wondered if he had already recognized who she was. It was probably why he walked toward her before she ran. She knew it was a possibility. But she hoped she was wrong.
Before she could really place her hands on anything, King stepped into the bathroom causing her to open her mouth with her eyes widened. She folded her legs a bit, still under the hood of her jacket. She looked from side to side trying to see if there was an escape route.
"Don't worry. I won't come in," King said much to her relief as she heaved a huge sigh. "I'll be right outside. You can call me if you need any help at all."
With that, he stepped back outside and Victoria quickly sprang to her feet. She knew that there was no way she was going to go out without being spotted by him, since he was already there waiting for her to call him. Little did he know that she didn't need any help from him; she needed to be saved from him instead as he was the only problem that she had at the moment.
She knew King so well too. They'd spent a lot of time together back then in the past and she knew just how stubborn he was. It was only a matter of time before he'd come in to find out what was going on for himself. It was a fact she was very much aware of and she didn't want that to happen.
"I have to escape," she said to herself, breathing very hard. "I need to get out of this place before it's too late."
She looked around, searching for any spaces in the bathroom. She tried to see if there was another exit door but there wasn't. She was stuck inside there with nowhere to go at all. His scent wasn't making it any easier for her.
She could smell it so strongly. It stuck to her nose and didn't want to leave. She tried to fight it but she knew it was a battle she was already losing. And if it continued that way, one thing was surely going to happen…
The shift. She would have no power against it and her wolf would finally break out. She has to do something very urgently; something drastic. As she heard footsteps, which suggested that King was on his way in, probably because he heard no sound for a while, Victoria aimed at the window and jumped right out of it, not knowing where she was going to land. She needed to be anywhere; anywhere else but close to King.
The snow was still heavy and her vision was obscured by snowflakes as soon as she landed with a thud. Thankfully, she was alright; just a bit tired.
King heard a loud bang and rushed into the bathroom trying to figure out what had happened. "Damn it," he cursed in his heart, wondering why the lady wouldn't just call him since she needed some help.
As he got inside, he looked around but there was no one there. He wiped his eyes with his right palm, just to make sure he was seeing clearly but yet again, he couldn't see anyone around. Then he paused a bit, hands on his waist and glanced at the window.
It was half-open and he realised that the lady must have left the building through the window.
It was freezing cold outside. The cold was enough to kill a man if he had no sweaters or jackets on and it made him ponder. "What on earth bothered her so much that she had to risk her life?" He asked himself. He had a girl to save.
King grabbed a coat and ran back outside to save Victoria. His friends stood there, stunned as he ran past them, wondering what had come over him. He didn't mind. He only had one thing in mind… Saving Victoria.
As he ran, he noticed that the path had been covered under the snow and he couldn't see much. He could only see a black spot slowly moving very slowly towards a nearby building. He felt it might have been the lady and although he couldn't quite tell who it was, he decided to follow suit.
He staggered forward, running as fast as he could to catch up with the girl. Thankfully for him, the lady looked tired and the closer he got to her, the more he could recognize that it was the same lady. It spurred him to keep pursuing her.
Eventually he got close to her as she got to the building and he reached out and grabbed her arm, causing them both to fall to the ground, breathing heavily.
Then he turned around to her so he could see her face and quickly adjusted himself backwards. He was face to face with his ex whom he still loved so much and he could recognize her face.
"Victoria?" He called out her name.
