Fated Mates: The Alpha

Wyatt "Mom! I need more clothes!" I toss t-shirt after t-shirt out of my closet and growl at every single one. I wasn't a materialistic guy. I just...grew fast and my shirts were fitting me like Evelyn liked to wear hers. Showing a sliver of skin right above my waistband. I pull a shirt out of my closet pull it on and huff a sigh. My arms are encased in the sleeves like sausages and my midriff is showing in this one as well. "What?" My mom pops her head into the room and snorts a laugh as she looks me over. "Another growth spurt?" I roll my eyes at her and sigh. "Did you go shopping like you said you were?" "I did, but...I think I bought the same size shirts. Do you need me to go out and buy more?" I narrow my eyes at her as she smirks up at me and I nod. "Please. I...this is getting ridiculous. Nothing fits. My pants look like I'm trying to make Capri pants come back in style. " She snorts again and places her hands on her hips. "Well, you have grown since last winter." She pushes her glasses up her nose and runs a hand through her wild curly hair. "Evie and Maddy coming to pick you up?" "Yeah, if I can find some damn clothes to wear." My mom smiles up at me, her turquoise eyes glittering with mirth. "Alright, Salem and I will go and return the clothes we just got you for your birthday and be back. It would help if you didn't spend so much time working on your muscles." My dad pops his head in through the open door, his long red hair pulled up into a bun on the top of his head. "I need new underwear. Mine all have holes in them." I grin and rip through my shirt and toss it into the trashcan by my bedroom door. "Alright, Hercules, calm down." My dad steps in and tilts his head as he looks at my pants. "New style?" My mom presses her lips together to stop herself from laughing and I shake my head and grab a pair of shorts. "No, nothing fits anymore." "Damn...this is like the third time this year we've had to replace your wardrobe. Are you on steroids? Cause I've heard that sh*t makes your d**k smaller. Are you having issues with it?" I groan as my mom doubles over in laughter and Dad stares at me with concern. "Who's d**k is getting smaller?" Salem's frizzy head pops in next and I feel my blood pressure skyrocket. Dad turns to Salem and frowns. "You don't say that word. It's not even supposed to be anywhere near your vocabulary. And your brothers. Your brother's d**k is getting smaller." Salem screws up her face and she pushes her black, rectangular glasses up her nose. "Gross." "My d**k, which is no one's concern in this household, is normal-sized because I don't take steroids! I'm just...I'm growing. That's it." My mom's face is pink with laughter and she shrugs. "That's nice to know. Anyway, we'll go shopping now. What time do you need to go out?" "They're coming at seven." "Are you staying at the packhouse or coming home tonight?" I smirk and shake my head. "I don't think the Alpha will like if I try to stay over again. Luna Elena doesn't mind, but Matt blew his top when he found out." My mom rolled her eyes and sighed. "I'm just saying, in a few months when the girls turn eighteen and turn out to be your fated, he can't say sh*t." I blush and smile. Evelyn and Madison Hendrix have been my best friends since we were babies. We did everything together and everyone was certain they were going to be my mates, but...it was possible that they weren't. And while I should have been preparing myself for that possibility, I was instead probably making it worse. Evie and I started messing around when we turned sixteen. She was...adventurous and funny. She loved to be loud and craved attention. She was like me. Madison was...quiet and reserved. Although they were identical, they were complete opposites. Madison liked to read and stay in a lot. But she always came out with Evie and I. And I loved her, just...not the same as I loved Evie. "Yeah, well, we still have a few months to find that out or not. Either way, I'm coming home tonight. So please...I'm begging you, I don't want to walk into what I walked into the other night." "s*x?" My dad supplied. Salem gagged and stepped out of the room and Mom blushed. "Yeah. That. Don't do that in the living room. Or ever if possible. I still have nightmares." I shuddered as I pulled on one of the only shirts I had left that fit, from my hamper and grabbed a pair of shorts from the floor. "It's natural. Your mother and I love eachother very much and..." "Alright, second choice. That's enough of that." My dad flipped me off and I laughed as he walked out of the room. My mom rolled her eyes at me and sighed. "Stop calling him that. He hates it." I snort. "I know. That's why I do it." My mom shook her head with a smirk and waved. "I'll be back. Get your room cleaned if you want to go out." I groan and nod. "Alright. Thank you!" Evie and Maddy laughed as I shrugged out of my pants and hung them from a limb. Ronan splashed them and they began shrieking as he used his Fae powers to throw giant water balls at them. "No fair, Ro! You know you can't do that!" Maddy called from behind Evie. Evie screamed as Ronan shot another one towards them. I jumped into the water and leaped in front of it before it could get to them. Ronan laughed hard and slicked his hair back with his powers, always the showoff. The water was freezing, but what started as a dare for the girls to streak naked in the water turned into all of us freezing our asses off in the stream. Maddy held her arms over her chest to hide her chest as I grabbed both of them and pulled them down into the water. Ronan dog piled on top of us. Evie laughed loudly and Maddy shrieked as I held them down in the water. "Ro, can you do something about the water temperature?" Maddy said through chattering teeth. Ronan shook his head. "Nope. I have issues with temperature. If I tried it now, I could boil the water." "Beats the sh*t out of freezing," Evie chimed as she snuggled into my side. I traced the crescent moon birthmark on her neck and feel her shiver. I stop myself before I embarrass myself with a boner and let go of the girls. "Get out so we can see if Ro can heat up the stream." The girls rush after me then huddle up against me as we watch Ronan's face screw up as he hovers his hands over the stream. I rub both of the girl's backs, wondering if they will be my mates. I look up at the moon and close my eyes. I turned eighteen not too long ago, but didn't feel anything different. I suppose that's what's supposed to happen, seeing as I'm not anything special. My mom told me that my father was powerful. She told me that his wolf rivaled Alpha Matthew's in size and that his aura was almost as bad as Alpha Meredith's. But he was never an Alpha. All he had been was a rogue. "Sh*t." I look down at Ro as he hops out of the water. Steam rises out of it and I raise my eyebrows. His legs are pink from where he was standing in it and he turns and looks at us sheepishly. "See? Boiled it. I can't get it right yet. My next lesson is next week. So maybe...I can get it then?" I walk towards the steaming water and dip a toe in. It's hot as hell and I can't seem to stop being surprised at his Fae gifts. "Alright, well, can you dry us off or will that cause some sort of catastrophe?" Maddy asks with a raised eyebrow. Evie stays tucked to my side, her chest pressing against my ribs and I swallow hard, trying not to think about it. "I can do that. Who's first?" Maddy runs to Ronan, still holding her chest. I look away from her naked body, and shake my head at all of my twisted thoughts. "Have you wanted to be with her too?" Evie looks up at me with her moss green eyes and I swallow hard. If they turn out to be my mates, Maddie will be mine too. But I don't know how Evie feels about that. And I don't want to make her angry. I mean, she doesn't get mad when I touch Maddy like I had earlier. But it doesn't mean she might not be jealous if I wanted her as well. "I don't know. I mean, duh, she's beautiful like you. But...if you don't like it..." She snorts. "If we turn out to be your fated, we will have to share anyway. So...I don't care." I raise my eyebrows at her and shake my head. The temptation is real, but...not now. Not yet. Maddy was special in the way that made me feel like I couldn't sully her until we were sure. She was a romantic in that way and I didn't want to ruin it for her in case I wasn't. We watched as Ronan dried Maddy off with his air magic and then I pushed Evie towards him. He was a year younger than us, but was our close friend as well. I noticed how he looked at Evie and growled when his eyes paused at her chest. "Dry her off, id*ot. Stop staring." Ronan grinned and dried her off in an instant. I walked over to him and knocked him in the side with my elbow. He grinned and shrugged. "Boobs are boobs, man. You have to admire them." "Not theirs." "Why? You feel like they belong to you? Do you feel different?" I shrug and shake my head. "No. I don't feel any differently at all." "Have you tried your aura, Wyatt?" Maddy sat on a rock, fully dressed. Her eyes looked me over and I smirked. "No. Do you think I can do it?" "Dude...f*ck yeah. Make us submit. We're all Alpha born, so if it works, then maybe your mom is right about your dad." I sigh and pull on my pants. Ronan dries himself off and they all stand dressed in front of me. "Before I try, I want to make sure all of you are okay with it. And...I don't know how to control it if it works so...don't be mad." Evie smiles and Maddy nods. "Agreed." They say in unison. Ronan nods. "Yeah. I'm good." "And don't tell the parents." "We won't." I take a deep breath and try to force my aura out. I can feel it inside of me, like I always have been able to, but I never tried to use it. Not until now. I look at my friends and will them to submit to me. I push it at them and gasp as all three of them crumble to the ground with grunts. The girls clutch at the dirt and Ronan's neck strains as he tries to fight it off. I reel it back into myself, kind of like I'm fishing, and watch as they all relax into the dirt. Maddy begins to cry and Ronan pushes up from the ground with a grin. Evie looks up at me with wide eyes as she rubs Maddy's back. I feel guilty as I look at Maddy's face. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do it that hard. Are you okay?" She sniffles and then laughs. "Yeah, I just...I honestly didn't think you could do it. You caught me by surprise." I look at the other two and we begin laughing with Maddy. Inside though, the pool of my aura feels like it's been awoken and it scares the sh*t out of me.
