...And so the fun begins

When I woke up in the morning I ate breakfast and my mom and I went to the pool. She had become concerned recently because she could hear me fighting with Keith on the phone. I had thrown my phone across the room and broke it. She got me a new one but told me that was it. I didn't mean to break it.

So here lately I had been trying to keep calm and not let Keith and his drama and lack of care for anyone but himself get to me. What was the point of being with him though? I was so unhappy.

Hey are you going to break up with him Kallie? because this is just getting old.

I am still working through my feelings on that Kristy.

While my mom and I were in the pool we started talking about my powers and how I was going to work on them.

"What better way to get started than being here relaxing in the pool ?" she said

"okay. so what do I need to do?"

I nodded. I focused as much as I could while still being fully relaxed.

I suddenly felt a surge through my entire body. Then I saw something almost like I was dreaming but it wasn't a dream.

oh my goddess... it's a vision. I have powers of seeing visions. Is this future or current though?

I continued to focus.

****VISION*****

I saw Keith and his cousins and there was a girl there, I thought it was a friend or girlfriend of one of the cousins but then I saw her grab Keith's hand and he lead her inside. I didn't follow right away.

Chase and Wayne were talking... "Man why is he taking her in there ? isn't he with Kallie?" Wayne asked. "yeah I don't know I stay out of it dude that's not cool but I don't know what to even do about it. He said that she had gotten drunk and passed out last night apparently so I don't know if he's talked to her much since before she went to bed last night." "he's an idiot." "Agreed."

I snapped out of it and my jaw just hung opened.

"Kallie?" my mom said touching my arm.

"Oh my goddess, mom." I was shocked. I knew it was a current event happening at that moment. "I..... I... I had a vis... vision mom" I said still in shock.

"what was it of Kallie?"

"Keith, he's still continuously cheating on me ! I am so f*****g done!"

Hey what are you doing tonight?

-hey Texas... we are having a kick back at my place with a couple friends. just real chill. wanna hang out ?

I decided if he stopped giving a f**k completely, then so would I. I was going to go hang out and have fun and let loose and nobody could stop me.

"Mom I met some friends at work and I'm going to go hang out tonight. Can I borrow the car?"

"yup sure can. let's go home and fix lunch and then you are free to use the car whenever."

We went home, has lunch and spent some time together watching movies. I got in the shower and got ready to go meet up with Speedy, I was just waiting on the text message for me to come over. I was finishing up my hair when I got the message.

-Hey, you can come over whenever. My address is 2343 Hilltop Ave. Text me when you get here.

Okay I am finishing up getting ready and I will head over soon. You are only about 10 mins from me. See you soon.

With that I finished my hair, double checked myself in the mirror and made sure to send a message to Keith.

I am going to go to bed early tonight. I will talk to you tomorrow. We have some things to talk about.

After I sent that message, I grabbed the keys from my mom and let her know I would be home later.

I was sitting for just a few seconds before I saw him come out of the apartment, I wasn't far off so that was good.

I scooted to the passenger seat and let him take over so he could park. When he was done parking we went into his apartment. There were 2 guys and a girl there and he introduced me to each. We were all just hanging out and talking and he started to flirt with me.

"Perfect. we can go to the pool this afternoon when it warms up. is there anything else that you have been wanting to do since you got here that we haven't done?"

"Hmm.... no not really. shopping is always a fun time though ! "

"Yep. let's do that and then by the time we get back it will be warm enough to go to the pool. You can invite your friend there too if you want. "

"Sweet. I need to shower really quick after breakfast."

"Yup go ahead and eat, I already ate so I'm going to get in the shower and when I am done it's all yours. "

I finished eating and then cleaned up and did the dishes and put the left overs in the refrigerator and went to go pick our what I wanted to wear to go shopping. By the time I was done my mom had turned off the shower. I went to grab a towel and checked my phone, Speedy had sent me a message.

-Hey how you doing this morning?

hey hey I'm good. how about you? This morning was weird having to wake up so early and leave...

-haha yeah. sorry. Let me know when you want to hang out again. I am moving soon in with my friends Kade and Leanne so maybe we can all get together and you can meet the crew.

that would be awesome. I need to meet new friends. Leanne as in the girl at work?

-oh yeah. her and Kade are engaged.

Ohhhh okay sweet. well I'm getting in the shower me and my mom are going to go shopping. I'll talk to you later ?

I sat in the shower and tried to figure out how I was going to tell Keith that this was over and I didn't feel like doing this anymore. Not through a text message. I needed to call him. When I got out of the shower I sent him a text.

I need to talk to you. I'm about to call you, so make sure you answer your phone.

I didn't wait for a response. I called him and he of course didn't answer. I called again and again and finally he picked up.

-"Hello?"

"About time you picked up. What the hell are you doing that you couldn't answer the phone ?!"

-"I ...I was jus..."

"You know what ? don't even tell me I don't care. I can't do this anymore with you Keith. I came out here for a fresh start. To try to work on and find myself and you are just bringing me down. I am done with this. "

-"What? Are you for real? Why though? what changed?"

"Are you serious right now ? What changed? My feelings for you for one. For two you can't keep your d**k in your pants for even 5 minutes after you got home from California. I am done. Now I have other s**t to do. good bye Keith."

I hung up the phone and turned it off. I didn't want to be bothered.

**knock knock **

"Come in."

"Hey everything okay ? I heard you yelling."

"Ugh I'm fine. I broke up with Keith. I'm done with his bulls**t."

"Well thats good. Ready to go?"

"Yeah I just need to dry my hair and then I'm ready."

"Alright sounds good I'm going to get my shoes on and I'll wait for you out on the couch."

I finished drying my hair and we headed to JC Penny. We spent way too much money like usual and then we went back home and got our new clothes in the washer. We got dressed in our suits and headed to the pool. I texted Shyann to see if she wanted to meet us up there, she said she may be there in a bit but that she was not home right now.

"Well she may come up here but for now it's just us. I feel like we need some drinks by the pool."

"That can in fact be arranged. I will go make some and bring you back one."

" Awesome!."

Perks of living right next to the pool was if we needed to get something we didn't have to go far. So that was awesome. We stayed at the pool tanning, drinking and swimming for a few hours.

Shyann didn't end up getting there before we left so I texted her to let her know we were leaving so she didn't feel obligated to be there sooner than she planned to come home. I didn't want her to feel bad or show up thinking we would be there and then us be gone when she got there.

When we got home we ate some lunch and rinsed off in the shower got in comfy clothes and just sat and watched some TV for a while.

My mom was into smoking p*t I had never tried it before, I wanted to but I wasn't sure how I would react so I held off on that for now at least. She offered but I declined.

"Well it's always there if you change your mind." she said and smiled.

I smiled back and nodded. We sat and watched some movies and just spent the day together. After we were done with that we decided to figure out what we would make for dinner.

"How about... tacos?" she said

"Ohhh yes! that sounds perfect!"

We got to work on the tacos. I was having a lot of fun helping her cook. I made sure that I cleaned everything up after dinner. I didn't want to be useless around the house.

My step dad was getting up right as dinner was finishing up. He was ready for work and was going to eat with us before he had to go. I made him a plate and brought it to him at the table.

"Anyone need anything else?"

"Nope I think we're good." mom said.

" So Kallie, I hear you're making friends up at work. That's great news." he said to me.

I smiled and nodded "Yeah everyone up there is great, super friendly and welcoming. I am going to be hanging out and meeting some more friends soon too, outside of work."

"That's great! " he said.

I smiled and we all finished our dinner and it was time for him to leave for work. Mom was tired so she decided to go ahead and go to bed. I stayed up for a bit longer. I texted Speedy and he said he was moving in with Leanne and Kade tomorrow so I told him once he got settled in I would come over and see them.

I decided to go ahead and go to bed. Nothing else for me to do. I hadn't heard from Keith all day surprisingly but that was good because I didn't have to deal with the drama that he continuously brought into my life.

The next morning I woke up. I made breakfast for me and my mom and we sat out on the patio and drank coffee. Speedy texted me.

-Good morning !

well good morning to you too! today is moving day right?

-yep it is. but I will be at work later today so I will have it all done by tonight. so you can come hang tomorrow if you want to.

Awesome I certainly will do that. I work tonight too! so I will see you there.

When I sent that last message I smiled. I enjoyed working with him. It kept my mind off of everything negative and he made me smile. He was just fun. Carefree, that is how I would describe him and that is what I wanted to be. Carefree.

"have you talked to what's his name at all?"

"Nope. and I don't want to. "

she just nodded. "Do you work tonight then ? "

"I do! and I'm ready for it. Speedy works with me tonight so it should be a fun night. No management at night either just me and 2 servers the bus boy and the cooks so it's always really chill there. I love it!"

"I am so glad to hear that you are meeting new people and making friends and that you enjoy your job. What do you say we go for a run, let our wolves out for a while?"

"Oh yes I would love that and I'm quite sure Kristy would as well!"

" Alright. I know just the spot to go."

We got ready and headed out the door. Time to let Kristy enjoy her freedom from Keith just like I was doing. This was the start of a new beginning... Or so I thought.
