Moving on

It's been about 2 months since everything happened and I got tired of pouting in my room. Chris occasionally would mind link me so I decided to put up a mind block to keep him out.

I finally decided to go back to school and this was my first day back. To say that everyone was happy to see me is an understatement. I got so many hugs but also I did run into Chris...

"Oh I'm so sorry! are you oka... Kallie!?" Chris says grabbing me by the shoulders and looking like he was about to hug me but he stopped.

"uh.. yeah I'm Fine thanks. excuse me I have to meet my friend down stairs. good to see you Chris."

okay that wasn't terrible seeing him. So the time away did work in my benefit. Kristy was right, but I wasn't going to tell her that.

I ran to the parking lot to meet Jessica and we headed back to the packhouse together to grab a snack and catch up on lost time. As we were walking in Mitzy came running towards me.

"Kallie, a few of us are going to go hang out at the hockey rink, do you want to come?" she asks

I look at her and raise my brow "who exactly is a few of us?"

"Goddess Kallie you need to get back out there! I know Chris caused you more pain than you want to admit but come on just come with me. Chaz will be there and he's bringing a few of his friends with him. Before you ask, I don't think Chris is coming but I can't promise that."

"Alright fine. I will go. Maybe I will meet someone awesome while we are there."

"There's my little sis!" she says hugging me.

"okay okay enough, I am going to go get something to eat and me and Jessica are going to hang out until then, what time are we leaving ?"

"About 5 so you have a couple hours, go eat and meet me back down here then. Don't be late please!"

I roll my eyes and Jessica and I head into the kitchen where we find Mrs. Nichols making us snacks already. She set out cheese and meat and crackers and some of her ranch dip with some tortilla chips.

"Ah thank you so much!" Jessica and I both squeal and head up to the movie room.

I hadn't been in here since me and Chris were still together. I sighed and Jessica looked up and me from her food she was stuffing her face with.

"Oh s**t, Kallie I never would have suggested we come in here if I knew it was still going to affect you this way! We can go..."

"No no it's okay, it's silly to still even care about him. Anyway how is everything going with you back home?"

Jessica's home life was rough to say the least. She didn't want to talk about it much but I could tell there was more to what was happening than what she had told me.

"Eh. could be better could be worse. Come on let's go find you something to wear so you can make Chris regret it if he is there and if he is not maybe these other friends that will be there will see how fantastic you look and that will make Chris jealous." she said with a big grin on her face.

"you are ridiculous, you know that? " I laugh

"yup and that is why you love me! now come on!!" she says dragging me into my room.

------2 hours later------

"you look f******g sexy Kallie" Jessica says

"Really ? it's jeans and a t shirt jess... " I say rolling my eyes but I couldn't help but smile.

"yeah it is, but those jeans show your perfect a** and giiiirl that cleavage!" she says fanning herself.

"Oh my gosh Jessica! " I say covering my bright red face.

"hah! come on let's get you down stairs to meet your sister!"

"There you are Kallie! Are you ready to go!?" Mitzy asks me

"As ready as I am going to be..." I shrug

"You are worried about Chris being there aren't you?"

"I mean yeah I am, I ran into him today and it was awkward as could be, I still have feelings for him Mitzy, and even if there is someone else there that is interesting, I don't think I am ready. "

"Okay so sit there and look cute and just see what happens, but I don't think Chris will be there, he is working tonight so if he does come it will be later." she says to me with a smile.

I nod my head and we get into her car, and head up the the hocking rink. I gave up on trying to convince Mitzy to stay away from Chaz. They want the drama then fine, but I'm staying out of this one. I don't see Alyssa anymore really because I quit working at the hospital after everything with me and Chris happened.

We pulled up to the hockey rink, it was right outside of the pack territory. It was a roller hockey rink, not ice so it was outside. I look around and see a black truck next to us and realize that is Chazs' truck. He was getting out and getting his hockey stick and puck as well as his roller blades.

"Hey!" he shouts to us with a smile.

"Hi! " we both say back.

I have to admit he is a fun person to be around even though he's doing wrong to Alyssa... or I think he is anyway. I stopped trying to use my powers to figure that out because it's too much drama for me. I only use them when necessary.

We walk over to the rink and shortly there after we hear a beautiful sound. A muscle car. I turn to try and see who was there and Chaz just had a smirk on his face. I glared at him and continued over to the side of the rink to hop up on top to take my seat so I could watch Mitzy and Chaz play amongst themselves.

I look up and I saw someone I didn't recognize, though it was dark out so I couldn't see much, I could definitely see he was significantly shorter than Chris.

Get him out of your head Kallie!

shut up Kristy. I am working on it. Do you know who this is walking over here.

she giggled and went to the back of my mind. why did my wolf have to be such a stubborn b***h sometimes. I rolled my eyes and went back to texting on my phone and watching Chaz and Mitzy.

Mitzy was keeping up with Chaz and I was pretty impressed with her skills because he actually played on a hockey league for school. Maybe he was going easy on her, I don't know.

Chaz looked up and saw the unknown person, well unknown to me anyway, walking over to the rink. Him and Mitzy made their way over to greet him.

"Ay! Collin you made it bro!" Chaz shouts and they do their stupid bro fist bump thing.

I roll my eyes and that's when I realize, I have seen this guy before. He is a friend of Chaz and Chris from school. I let out a sigh as Mitzy and Chaz go back to playing.

"Hi I am Collin, Kallie right?" he says to me holding out his hand.

"Oh, um yeah Hi, sorry. Nice to meet you Collin."

Collin and I talked and joked a bit getting to know eachother there was something about him but I pushed it away because I was honestly still hung up on Chris. Stupid yes. It is what it is though.

Just then we hear loud a** music coming from the parking lot. I look up and my sister and Chaz and raise my brow.

"Ah s**t... " I hear Chaz mutter under his breath.

"Ah what the f**k?!" I whisper scream.

It was Chris. "why is he here !? YOU said he was at work Mitzy!"

"I am sorry Kallie, this is on me. Chris got off work and texted me and asked me what I was doing. I told him and I guess he took it upon himself to show up uninvited. "

I let out a deep sigh and just nod.

"Am I missing something here?" Collin asked genuinely confused.

I looked over at him just as confused and shook my head. "truly if you don't know there is nothing to know. it's fine." I said a little bitterly.

he looked at me and just nodded. I went back to texting and my sister and Chaz continued to play their game as I see out of my perifials Chris walk up like he owned the place. I roll my eyes and pretend not to notice.

"Hey Collin, don't let him in there. " I said with a smile.

"Why not?" he asked me.

"Because he is an a** that's why" I said and giggled.

"what did he do?"

"long stupid story and I don't even feel like getting into it."

Just as I said that Chris walked up right behind us and sat to put his Rollerblades on. I felt myself tense up and Collin looked at me with concern on his face. I looked over at him and smiled saying - I am okay without actually saying it.

Chris walked past us and skated off to go join Mitzy and Chaz. Collin and I talked some more and it started to get late. We all decided we were hungry so we went to grab some food at Whataburger.

We all sat down to eat and just talked. Collin kept looking at me and I just smiled at him. I shrugged it off as he was just a h***y teen boy and wanted one thing.

We all finished and went our separate ways. The entire time Chris didn't say anything to me. Which was fine as there really wasn't anything to say. Yet for some reason I still had hopes things would change some how.

I went to school the following day. It was almost time for prom season and each day I was getting over Chris it was taking a while but I was getting there. I heard a group of guys walking and talking behind me and one whistled. I was instantly self conscious and I turned quickly to see who it was. It was none other than

Chaz, Chris, Collin and one of their other friends Cody. The 4 of them smiled at me and I waived and smiled back and hurried down the stairs to go to my next class.

I found out that Chris was going to prom with the schools w***e Amber Roberts. GROSS. Was all I could think when I heard. But makes sense. School was going to be out in a couple months and Chris wanted to lose his virginity before the end of the year, before he graduates. What better way than to try with the easiest girl in school.

I sprinted home after school and went straight to my sister's room.

*knock knock knock* The door opens.

and I see Mitzy on the phone. "Hey little sister. come in!"

"You sure you're on the phone... I can come back..."

"get in here its fine its just Chaz!"

I roll my eyes and reluctantly walk in as she pulls my arm and shuts the door.

"Yeah she's here right now... okay... hold on. "

"Chaz wants to talk to you."

"me? why? ..." she shoves the phone in my face and I roll my eyes.

"What's up Chaz?"

"Hey! Remember Collin from the hockey rink the other night?"

"yeah..... why???... " I ask wondering where he is going with this.

"Well he said you're cute and wants to get to know you."

..... I sit and think for a minute.

"Kallie? you there?"

"huh? .... oh yeah... um... okay well I don't know what to say? thanks I guess but I am just not really ready right now. "

"... okay well I just wanted to relay the message.."

"Thanks Chaz. Here is Mitzy back."

I hand Mitzy the phone and she looks at me with her brow raised. I just nod my head and mouth 'Later' to her.

They finish their conversation which didn't last much longer and of course Mitzy asked what Chaz wanted to talk to me about. I told her what he has said and she smiled.

"You should just talk to him at the very least maybe he will become at least a good friend to you. If not more. You never know." she says with a smile.

I roll my eyes and say "I will think about it."

Prom for the seniors came and went. I found out that Chase tried to lose his virginity to Amber after prom and was turned down. I couldn't help but laugh. Looks like he was going to graduate a virgin after all.

My sister stopped hanging out with Chaz as much and I gave up on Chris. I had made a new friend, Christine and we were very close. I stayed the night with her alot. She was actually dating Cody, who turned out to be Collins best friend.

Christine and I were always together. We talked about alot of stuff that was kept only between us. I loved her. She became my best friend in the entire world.

Summertime came and I got to thinking more about Collin after seeing him hanging out with Cody and Christine. I told Christine that I was wanting to get to know him but I didn't want to just mind link him randomly and strike up a conversation. She told me she had his number and she texted it to me. I kept it in my phone for like 2 weeks before I finally decided to text him one night out of the blue.

Hi Collin, it's Kallie- Christine's friend.

Hey what's up?!

A smile crept across my face as I laid in bed. why am I smiling ? I thought to myself, I don't even know him.

Hey! I wasn't sure if you would be up or not. it's kind of late, I also didn't know if you would even text me back. I am glad you decided to though.

Why would you think I wouldn't text you back?

I don't know... I guess because you told Chaz you wanted to get to know me a whole back and I didn't try to talk to you then, so I figured you had just forgotten about it.

I mean,  I was hoping that you would eventually want to hang out but I knew you had a lot going on with the whole Chris bulls**t so I wasn't going to press the issue.

I sat and looked at my phone for a moment and I smiled. He seems pretty chill. what do you think Kristy?

oh now you care what I think?

don't be salty. I am doing what you want me to. moving on with my life without Chris... that ship sailed. I can't deny that it sucked at the time and we definitely had a good time together... but it wasn't meant to be and that is okay.

hmmmm... okay you want to know what I think ?

well duh, I wouldn't have asked you if I didn't. I roll my eyes.

Well, I think that you should work on getting to know him and see where this goes..I can't deny that there is something that attracts me to him... and his wolf Andrew is quite tasty!

OMG KRISTY! 

I push her to the back of my mind and Collin and I ended up texting for HOURS and by hours I mean we texted for like 4-5 hours before we both fell asleep.

I woke up the next morning ... or should I say afternoon to a text message from Collin.

Hey good morning Kallie! Hope you had a good night's rest. sorry I kept you up so late. text me when you get up. talk to you soon!

The biggest smile formed on my face I held my phone to my chest rolled over on my stomach and squeeled into my pillow. I got out of bed went to brush my teeth and shower to get ready for the day. I hadn't texted Collin back yet because I wanted him to chase me a little bit, and not seem too eager... we see where that landed me with what's his face.

After I got done getting ready, complete with hair and make up I skipped down the stairs to go see what was for breakfast. Mrs. Nichols was cooking biscuits and gravy with sausage and bacon and boy did that smell good. I checked the time and it was just after 1pm. Why was she cooking breakfast?

"Goodmornig dear." she said as I entered the kitchen and sat at the island on one of the stools.

"Good morning, you are cooking... breakfast?"

"Oh just enough for you dear and your guest, who should be here shortly."

I gave her a confused look "I don't have a planned guest coming over."

she gave me a smile and just shrugged.

okay what was going on here?

I shrugged and decided it was time to text Collin.

Good afternoon Collin, no need to be sorry for keeping me up. I had a good time getting to know you, so I was happy to stay awake.

Hi gorgeous! I was starting to worry you weren't going to text me back. Hey do me a favor and go outside.

I c*cked my head to the side, and got up... I went to open the front door and stepped outside. When I got out the front door to my surprise there was the most sexy car in front of me. A 1972 Chevy Bellaire. I could feel myself starting to drool.

I walk out towards the car and see Collin leaning his back against the back bumper, looking at me with a smile.

"Hello gorgeous!"

I look at him blushing and smile "Hi Collin how are you? it's good to see you."

"It's good to see you too Kallie, I am well. I mind linked Mrs. Nichols for a favor should be about ready by now I think."

"The biscuits and gravy was your idea?!"

he smiled "yes it was. I knew you would be hungry so I figured I would see if she could make something. I remembered you ordered the biscuits and gravy that night at Whataburger, so I figured you would enjoy that."

"Yes thank you Collin. Let's go eat. " I said with a smile.

As we walked in I see my sister coming down the stairs with none other than Michael, Rickons younger brother. He was the same age as me and I knew him because of Rickon. I briefly had a crush on him and I was a little shocked to see him with Mitzy.

what are you doing with Michael coming down from I can only assume your room.

She cut off the link and put up a block. So rude! She glanced over at me and just had a smirk on her face. I just shook my head and went back to eating my meal with Collin. I would deal with my sister and her... revenge later.

"So Kallie what are you planning today? " Collin asks pulling me from my thoughts.

"hm well, I don't have anything planned really to be honest."

"Well then do you want to come hang out with me and Cody ? we need to work on my car and his Jimmy."

"I don't know what good I will be, but I would love to come hang out and get to know Cody more."

I grabbed his plate and mine and rinsed them off and placed them in the dishwasher. We walked outside and he opened the passenger door for me and we got in. The car was spacious in the front seat, it had a bench type seat so it was all the way across, one big seat. I wanted to hold his hand but I also didn't want to rush into anything; so instead I sat my hand on the seat just within reach if he decided he wanted to grab it. We drove down through the pack territory for about 10 minutes and got to his house.. well his parents house. We didn't go inside we just went into the garage and I watched him as he and Cody worked on the cars. I was texting my sister trying to figure out what was going on with her and Michael but she wasn't responding. I gave up and decided to text Christine.

Hi!

Hey Kallie what's up?

oh nothing just sitting here watching Collin and Cody work on the cars.

ugh don't even mention Cody I am so mad at him right now!

oh no! I am sorry what happened?!

He keeps getting these ideas in his head from the guys that I am this s**t and I try to get with everyone. It's not true though. I make the one mistake and kiss Collin and now he's freaking out any time I talk to anyone. 

wait you kissed Collin? when ?!

Oh it's been a while Kallie, it didn't mean anything. It was a mistake. don't worry. he is all yours if you want him.

oh, okay I just didn't know that. So no feelings there ?

no  not on my end. I can't speak for Collin though but I doubt he feels that way. Cody is his best friend

I stared at my phone for a minute. I feel like this was some need to know information that I should have been told by my best friend. She had a tendency to lie to others and keep information from people but I didn't think she would do that to me. Whatever, It was probably just an accident.

Just then Collin came and sat down next to me. He grabbed my hand and turned my chin to have me look at him.

"what is going on in that head of yours Kallie?"

"oh..uh... well... it's nothing. we can talk about it later."

He gave me a concerned look and nodded his head. "do you want to go out to eat tonight? Applebee's ?"

I couldn't hide the smile that was forming on my face. "sure, that would be nice."

"awesome, I am going to go jump in the shower but you can go hang out in my room until I am done. I will introduce you to my sister Shelly. She is my twin. "

We walked into his house and Shelly was sitting at the table working on something in the computer.

Collin grabbed my hand and I instantly felt a shock all over my body. It felt, good... and new.

"Hey Shelly this is... " she cut him off "Kallie right?" she said with a smile. I nodded and she said "I have heard all about you for months now, How beautiful you are and how Collin was hoping you would reach out to him. I told him he should contact you but he said he was trying to give you space because of Chris."

I smile and gently bump Collin with my shoulder "It's nice to meet you Shelly" I say.

"you too Kallie. " she said with a smile and went back to her computer.

Collin gently lead me into his room and told me where everything was in the event I needed anything, Cody had headed over to deal with whatever was going on with Him and Christine after they finished working on the car. Collin left to go get in the shower. I was sitting on his bed. I stood up when I realized this and decided to sit on a single chair across the room. I felt weird about sitting on his bed I don't know why. I just did. Thankfully he didn't take long in the shower. He walked into the bedroom in just shorts, shirtless. I tried not to stare but I was seriously so drawn to him it concerned me. I was about 3 months from my 17th birthday and I was starting to feel my powers more and more without even trying and it was both cool and terrifying at the same time.

Collin looked over at me "Like what you see? " he says smiling and winking at me.

I instantly turn red as a tomato "I

... uh... oh... well... yea.... I mean...."

He laughed and pulled a shirt over his head and grabbed a hat put it on backwards grabbed his keys, put them in his pocket and reached out for my hand. I took it without hesitation. We walked through the house and out the front door. He again held the car door open for me and I got in. We headed towards Applebee's to go get some food.

After we ordered we sat just talking and taking our time to get to know eachother. I found out that Collin was actually a virgin as well and he was in no rush to lose it until he found someone worth losing it to. This made me feel good about knowing he wasn't going to ditch me for the first girl willing to spread her legs for him. He reached out and touched my hand with his and brought it to his mouth and placed a light kiss on it.

oh goddess if he kept doing things like this I would be praying to the moon goddess for him to be my mate. Collin had just turned 18, so perhaps he knew something I wasn't ready to yet. I didn't want to focus on that. It was time for me to have fun. That's what I was going to do. I told Collin that I was saving myself for my mate and he looked at me and smiled.

"That's hard to do ya know Kallie, but I think that is great honestly." he kissed each of my knuckles.

I felt the pool of wetness forming between my legs and going to my thighs. I look up and Collins eyes are black as night. Oh goddess please don't tell me...

I was pulled out of my though before I could finish. "Kallie I can smell your arousal and you need to stop because I won't be able to hold Andy back forever."

Andy is his wolf. I blushed and said "sorry. I am not doing it on purpose." he smiled at me and his eyes went back to normal.

I did everything to keep my mind off anything romantic or s****l for the remainder of dinner. We finished our meals and then headed to the pack house to watch a movie in the theater room.

We held hands the entire time and when it was time for him to go home I walked with him to the door and we kissed. I felt sparks like I had never felt before and the butterflies in my stomach were so intense.

"Goodnight Kallie. " He said with a smile.

" goodnight Collin." I said and we released eachothers hands.

My goddess... what is this feeling that is surging through my veins? It's addicting, and I need more.
