These few days Jasmine has been preparing really hard for the exam but she has problems with mathematics which Tan is very good at.
Tan offered to teach Jasmine but in return she has to do him a favour which she readily agrees to.
Tan being an elite student teaches Jasmine and in one week they were done with the scheme for the exam.
Jasmine has finally finished preparing for the exam and can finally take a break before the exam.
She wakes up by 10am which is later than the time she usually wakes up. After freshening up,she goes to the dining table to eat.
Tan had left for work early so she ate alone today,thinking of it he always leaves early these days. Things must be pretty hectic at work.
Jasmine decided to surprise Tan by cooking for him.
After eating,Jasmine goes to the farm and handpicked fresh vegetables to cook,she asked the body guards to get her freshly killed chicken and pork.
Since Tan comes late around 8pm jasmine starts cooking at 7pm so it doesn’t get cold when he gets home.
Mrs Wong was standing at a corner as she broke in cold sweat as time went by. Nobody except her has ever cooked for the young master and he would eat it.it’s only normal because she has been cooking for him ever since he was a year old.
His parents were all too busy to look after him and she practically raised him.
The scent of Jasmine’s delicacy soon filled the whole mansion,she cooked Tan’s favourite dishes and some of hers.
By the time Jasmine was done cooking and cleaning up,Tan arrived.
Tan was working all day as a subsidiary of the company was facing issues from an accident that happened during production and a case of embezzlement.
He arrived feeling exhausted and spent all he wanted to do was to eat ,see jasmine to recharge his energy and sleep.
Upon getting into the mansion,the scent of various delicacies filled his nostrils. His stomach growled really loud. He was working all day and forgot to eat.
He quickened his steps and walked towards the dining area.
He sees Jasmine sitting while Mrs Wong stood beside her looking ever so guilty.Tan had an idea of what was going on.
He walks up to jasmine and strokes her head affectionately
‘Jas’
When Tan got close to the dining area, Jasmine knew he had arrived,she knew his scent better than anyone else,she was just too nervous to look back so she pretended to be busy and feigned innocence.
‘Oh hi Tan’
‘I. . . I cooked dinner. I hope you like it.’
Tan's expression changed , he kind of knew she had cooked but it was just a guess he didn’t think she really would have made all the dishes on the table just for him.
Mrs Wong saw Tan's expression and she became worried,she mistook it for him having mixed feelings as to Jasmine cooking his dinner.
She hurriedly walks up to tan
‘Ah young master I, Miss Jasmine insisted on cooking and was being stubborn so I couldn’t refute her,she did put a lot of effort into it. You should try it.’
Tan looks at Mrs Wong disapprovingly,not because she had offered him a food not cooked by her but because she referred to Jasmine as Miss Jasmine.
His bodyguards have always called her young mistress whenever he is alone with them and whenever they wanted to address her so he was used to that term. Hearing Mrs Wong call her Miss Jasmine made him frown.
Jasmine witnessing all these starts to get uneasy and worried ,she might have gone a bit too ahead of herself by thinking tan would eat food cooked by her. She really didn’t know what to expect anymore.
‘I. . . Sorry I didn’t know you don’t eat food cooked by anyone else. I just wanted to do something for you since you help me all the time’
‘I’m sorry ‘
Jasmine says softly at the verge of tears, she has never broken down not even in her worthless family never had she ever complained or cried over anything but somehow Tan made her soft,she never wants to hurt him or make him hate her for anything .
Tan signals for Mrs Wong to leave and walks towards Jasmine.
He pulls her closer to his arms and pats her back softly
‘You are not anyone else Jasmine. I'm truly happy you consider me important enough to invest your precious time making dinner for me. I’m truly honoured.’
Hearing Tan, Jasmine got teary-eyed and hugs him back gently.
Tan embraces her and places a kiss on her forehead.
Jasmine is slowly opening her heart to him and being more comfortable around him and he couldn’t ask for anything more than that.
The two let go and settle down to eat dinner.
Jasmine serves Tan his portion and carefully places food on his plate occasionally as she watches him eat. Tan accepts them with love and eats as much as Jasmine gives him while complimenting her till her face flushed deep red.
Tan asks Jasmine to eat as well and she complies,she hadn’t eaten since the morning but watching Tan eat made her so satisfied she forgot how hungry she was.
Jasmine serves herself and starts eating while Tan moves the side dishes closer to her reach and places food on her plate while she eats.
The two are quietly and peacefully with both the stomach and heart filled to the brim.
After eating, Tan offered to wash the dishes together and they went for a walk before Tan went to bed.
Tan forgot all of his fatigue after hanging out with Jasmine,it’s like she’s his soulmate, she automatically makes him feel alright regardless of how tired and stressed he had been.
He would never let go in fact he can’t let go even if he wanted to.
If only Jasmine feels the same.
