Nothing about this was what I’d imagined. Nothing about him fit the role I’d assigned so carelessly.
As we ran, even in my drunk state, everything became clear and terrifying.
I had made a terrible mistake.
Lorenzo was no ordinary man and whatever I had walked into was far more dangerous than a heart break
A gunshot rang out behind us.
I screamed, the sound tearing out of my throat as another figure emerged from the shadows.
Lorenzo didn’t hesitate. He turned, raised his arm, and fired.
The man dropped instantly.
I stopped dead staring at the body sprawled on the ground, lifeless and still. My mind refused to process what my eyes were seeing.
“Move now,” Lorenzo barked.
I couldn’t. My legs wouldn’t respond.
With a curse, he grabbed me and slung me over his shoulder like I weighed nothing.
The sudden movement pulled out all the breath from my lungs.
“Put me down!” I screamed, pounding weakly against his back.
“I’ll tape your mouth shut and shoot you if you don’t stay quiet,” he snapped.
That did it. The fear sealed my lips.
He carried me out of the alley and onto another street where there was a river. A small boat waited at the edge, the engines roaring and there was a dark silhouette beside it.
My heart sank. “Wait,” I pleaded as he tightened his hold. “There’s been a misunderstanding. I.. I don’t even know you.”
Lorenzo snorted, his expression cold as he shoved me into the boat.
“I was wrong,” I babbled, panic taking control of me. “I need to make a call.. where’s my phone?” I said tapping my pocket.
For a split second, his attention shifted.
I took my chance and I jumped.
I didn’t make it two steps before his hand clamped around my arm. I screamed, kicking and scratching him, desperately struggling, but it was useless.
He hauled me back effortlessly and threw me into the cabin. My back hit something soft, knocking the air from my lungs.
Before I could scramble away, he pulled off his tie, binding my wrists tightly behind my back. The cold press of metal followed. There was a gun pointed on my head.
“Behave red hair,” he said calmly.
My voice shook. “Please… don’t kill me.”
He paused, then smirked. “That’s not the plan. Well not yet.”
Another man took the controls as the engine roared louder. The boat lurched forward, water spraying behind us. Somewhere in the distance, I heard more gunfire.
I squeezed my eyes shut, fighting back a scream.
Who was he and where was he taking me?
Was this how I was going to die?
Fear drained my strength. The alcohol finally began to fade, leaving me tired. My head drooped low
Then suddenly I was airborne again.
Lorenzo had lifted me over his shoulder.
My stomach churned violently. Panic mixed with nausea as the boat rocked beneath us.
“I can’t, put me down.. I’m going to throw up!” I gasped.
“Shut up,” he growled, smacking my backside twice in warning. “If you vomit on me, you’ll regret it.”
I gagged but held it down, my teeth clenched tightly, tears were already burning my eyes.
The boat eventually slowed down and when it stopped, I was barely aware of my surroundings. There were voices spoken in low tones and some footsteps approached.
Men dressed in black waited near a black car. They bowed when they saw Lorenzo.
My eyes were blindfolded before I could even react.
The car ride felt endless. I twisted uselessly, my wrists aching from the tight binding.
When the car finally stopped, I was lifted again and carried inside.
Then I was thrown on a soft surface
I bounced as I landed, shock rippling through me. The blindfold was removed, then the tape.
I shoved him away and bolted for the bathroom.
I barely made it before retching violently, clutching the toilet as I threw up.
Never again. I would never drink again.
Between heaves, memories surfaced of another birthday, another drunken night with Derick by my side.
I called his name without thinking.
“Who’s Derick?” Lorenzo asked behind me.
I didn’t answer. Pain flared as he bit my ear.
“Ow!” I cried.
He bit it even harder.
That snapped something in me.
“Get away from me!” I screamed, swinging wildly.
His expression darkened. Without a word, he dragged me under the shower and turned on the cold water.
I gasped as icy streams drenched me, making me lose my breath.
When I could finally see again, he was right there.
“Damn you,” I hissed.
He cupped my face, leaned down, and kissed me hard.
The sensation overwhelmed me, confusing fear with something dangerously close to desire. My thoughts scattered as the cold water poured over my skin.
Only then did I realize my clothes were gone.
“No,” I whispered, pushing weakly. “We can’t.”
He didn’t respond, only watched me with dark intensity as his hands explored my body with deliberate control, igniting sensations I hated myself for feeling. This was wrong.
This was insane, I know I wanted him but not anymore
Yet my body betrayed me.
“No,” I repeated desperately. “Stop.”
He gripped my waist firmly. “Why the change of mind, you wanted s*x right?”
I swallowed. “Lorenzo.”
“Good,” he said. “Remember that.”
He carried me from the bathroom with ease, shutting off the water as if this were routine. He laid me on the bed, the sheets tangling around my legs, trapping me.
“I don’t want this again” I pleaded, trying to crawl away.
“Where do you think you’re going?” he asked calmly, flipping me over.
I froze.
The reality of him, what we had just encountered, him killing a man hit me all at once.
I struggled to free myself but it was useless.
When he pulled his shirt, my eyes bulged out, looking at his torso.
“You like what you see?” he smirked.
I swallowed again
Derick’s arrogant boasts flashed through my mind, and I almost laughed hysterically at the comparison.
Lorenzo pinned my wrists effortlessly, his other hand roaming my body.
Tears welled as sensation blurred into something overwhelming. He leaned down, his breath hot against my neck.
“Lorenzo… stop,” I whimpered.
He didn’t.
His control was consuming me. The desire and terror tangled inside me until I couldn’t separate them anymore.
He kissed me all the way down and I moaned helplessly.
He soon took of his underwear and I gasped at the size of his c**k
“I’m going to take you now,” he said quietly.
“No don’t,” I begged, kicking weakly, even with the desires swimming in me.
I felt him press closer and then he was inside me.
