Chapter 1: Rare Occasions

"Yeah, okay then take a shortcut, I'm standing in front of the cafe next to the main building, get here in the next 10 minutes"

Today day just happened to be one of those rare occasions Adam Smith driver is running late due to the late-night traffic on the west side of the city.

He ends the call with his driver and puts the phone back into his suit jacket, then checks his digital watch with a sigh that got interrupted by someone bumping into him.

Already frustrated that the car was running late, he turns around and grabs the arm of the person in the hooded sweatshirt, black jeans, and black sneaker, pulling them back into his view.

" ouch!" Adam was honestly surprised that the person who bumps into him so hard was a woman, but she didn't look at him even though he held her arm so firmly.

"Don't you think you should at least apologize?" Adam said to the woman who remains quiet.

The woman in the sweatshirt tried to j******f Adams's grip but it was futile "I'm sorry, now let go!" the woman said insincerely.

But for some reason, Adam finds it annoying and somewhat amusing?
