As soon as Damien left, I couldn’t help but feel uneasy.
I tried to shift that feeling away, focusing on Rafael as he spoke.
“I hope whatever Jeremy has to tell him brings some clarity and maybe an end to all this madness,” Rafael said.
He glanced at the door where Damien had disappeared moments ago. "We need a break from all this."
I nodded, trying to shake off the unease I felt. “Yeah, we do. I wish I knew more about what was going on. It feels like there’s always something new, something unresolved.”
Rafael sighed. “It will come to an end soon.”
Suddenly, a smile tugged at the corner of Rafael’s mouth as he looked at me.
“Enough about all that for now. I’ve noticed something else lately—there’s been a change between you and Damien,”
