Chapter 19Garrett walked, focused on the numbers in his head, ignoring all the names and dates staring at him. There were just too many of them, and he knew if he gave any of them his attention, he’d lose it, and he was already barely holding on. It only took a few minutes more to end his search. His brother’s name in raised letters sat on the cold ground waiting for him. “Hey, Callum, thought it was time I stopped by and checked on you,” Garrett took notice of the surrounding landscape. There were trees and grass as far as the eye could see—the type of place his brother liked to hide out when he wanted to escape from the world. “I’ve missed you loads lately. More than usual, if you can believe that. There’s a lot happening, and I want you to be a part of it.” Garrett sat on the grass.
