Jase slipped his hands under the table and wiped his sweaty palms on his jeans. Then he took a deep breath, glad everyone sat focused on something other than him for the moment. But that would change fast.
Jase waited for a lull in the conversations then he started at the beginning, and the guys were surprised, but they didn’t seem too upset about the split until Jase told them exactly what had happened. Then their anger was palpable.
A server brought their food, and Jase had hoped for a reprieve. But, the guys continued to ask questions throughout the entire meal. Each question Jase answered made the hollowness in his chest grow. The more he spoke, the clearer the picture of his relationship became. Every word uncovered more evidence of the s**t Andrew had brought into the relationship.
