* * * * Garrett tried to fluff his pillow, but it didn’t work. It must’ve fallen off the bed. He moved his hand to search it out but encountered something he didn’t recognize. He felt around, coming in contact with the twin of whatever the unknown object was. He opened one eye to peek, still not knowing what he stared at or where he was. He shot up, causing the blanket covering him to fall to the floor—his living-room floor. He rubbed his eyes as the yet-to-be-identified object next to him moved. His memory of the night before flashed in his head. Jase had come over, and they’d watched a show. Garrett half-remembered resting his eyes for a second, a second that must’ve turned into a much longer stretch. It still didn’t explain how he’d ended up wrapped around Jase’s legs, his head buried
