Being stuck in this hellhole of a dungeon was not on my fun list.
I wanted to know if Alyssa was okay. I wanted to know where the hell she is...where my baby is.
I wasn't sure that I had been correct, but now sitting here in this cell and overhearing the guards gossip, I was surer than ever that she was. Overhearing the "Apparently the Queen was seen in May Town, and her belly was swollen. And, "Did you hear the Queen is trying to start a coup? Apparently she wants her baby to be on the throne."
I knew that viscous rumours would pop up everywhere, especially now that I had dropped the bomb on the entire court. But I hoped deep, deep down inside, that it was true. I had hoped that she was carrying my child and that we could be happy together.
