I sat behind my desk, trying to make sense of all the paperwork that was in front of me. I didn't want to be here, I wanted to be back in bed with Alyssa. I wanted to watch her sleep in my arms as the sun hit her face.
When I woke up this morning, it was like I felt whole.
A feeling I haven't felt in a very long time, not since my family died. But this morning I felt like I woke up a whole new man, there was something about the way she looked at me with those big eyes. The way her hands felt on my skin last night, the way we made love and the way that this morning she asked me to stay longer with her in bed.
It felt like a barrier between us had broken down and now we were progressing. It was a little frightening but I also couldn't help but smile about it.
