The heavenly prince unwanted bride
Chapter One
The sound of thunder shook the Heavenly Palace.
Thousands of immortal soldiers stood silently outside the grand hall, their heads lowered as a dark aura approached from the sky.
No one needed to ask who had arrived.
The Demon Prince had returned.
The doors of the hall opened with a violent force.
Mo Cheng stepped inside, his black robes moving with the wind behind him. His eyes were cold, his expression unreadable, and the pressure of his presence made even the strongest immortals lower their heads.
The Heavenly Emperor looked at him calmly.
"After so many years, the heavenly Prince finally returns to the heavens."
Mo Cheng's lips curved into a cold smile.
"Do not speak as if you missed me, Father."
The hall became silent.
Only one person dared to look directly at him.
Ming Yu.
She stood beside the emperor, wearing a simple white robe decorated with silver flowers. Unlike everyone else, she did not tremble.
Mo Cheng noticed.
His eyes narrowed.
"You."
Ming Yu blinked.
"Me?"
"You are the only one here who does not fear me."
She tilted her head slightly.
"Should I?"
A few immortals gasped.
No one spoke to the heavenly Prince like that.
Mo Cheng walked closer, his dark eyes studying her.
"You know who I am?"
Ming Yu smiled softly.
"Of course. You are Mo Cheng, the heavenly Prince who defeated thousands of enemies and made the entire demon realm fear your name."
"And yet you are smiling."
"Because a name does not tell me everything about a person."
Mo Cheng laughed coldly.
"You are naive."
"Maybe."
Ming Yu looked at him without fear.
"But being naive is better than judging someone before knowing them."
His expression darkened.
"Careful, Princess. Your kindness may get you killed one day."
She answered quietly.
"Maybe. But losing my kindness would mean losing myself."
For the first time, Mo Cheng had no reply.
The Heavenly Emperor interrupted.
"Enough. The marriage agreement has already been decided. Ming Yu will become your wife and follow you to the mo Cheng manor "
The atmosphere changed.
Mo Cheng looked at the emperor with disbelief.
"My wife?"
"Yes."
"I never agreed to this."
The emperor's voice became firm.
"You will."
Mo Cheng's gaze turned cold.
"No one commands me."
Ming Yu stepped forward.
"Then why did you come here?"
His eyes moved toward her.
"What did you say?"
"If you truly refuse everything, you would not have returned."
The hall became silent again.
Mo Cheng stared at her.
This woman was gentle, but every word from her mouth challenged him.
"You think you understand me?"
"No."
Ming Yu shook her head.
"I don't. But I want to."
Mo Cheng walked closer until only a small distance remained between them.
"You should be afraid of me."
Ming Yu looked up at him.
"Maybe I should."
Her voice softened.
"But I don't want to spend my life fearing my own husband."
His eyes flashed.
"Do not mistake my patience for kindness, Ming Yu."
"And do not mistake my kindness for weakness, Mo Cheng."
The words surprised everyone.
Even Mo Cheng.
For years, people either feared him or hated him.
But this woman...
She stood before him with a gentle smile, as if his darkness could not frighten her.
He turned away.
"Prepare yourself. You leave for the heavenly realm tomorrow."
Ming Yu watched his back.
"Mo Cheng."
He stopped.
"What?"
She smiled.
"I hope one day you will stop trying to prove you are a monster."
His hand tightened.
"Why?"
"Because I don't believe you are one."
For the first time in many years, the heavenly Prince felt something unfamiliar.
Not anger.
Not hatred.
Something far more dangerous.
Curiosity.
And he hated that it came from her.
