Chapter Forty-Seven

1318 Words
TIANA "Carter, where are we going?" I questioned him as we walked across the street to a secluded rubbish building. He held my hand with his, pulling me with him with a black duffle bag in his other hand. It was later in the day when Carter decided to tell me to get dressed because we're going out. I didn't know where so I dressed in something nice. I did my hair and was ready. Brian, Carter's next in command was behind us with a duffle bag. "Just wait." Was all he said as we walked to the building. Once there, he let go of my hand to open the door. He let me go first before following behind me. "You're not going to kill me, are you?" My voice laced with worry. A deep chuckle came from him and shockingly one from Brian. "No, baby." His free hand rested on my waist and pushed me gently forward to a certain room. I noticed a table and paper's hanging in the air. I also notice the earmuffs and glasses.        "Are you practicing on your shooting?" I queried curiously. He shook his head no. "Your shooting today." I turned to look at him, causing his hand to slip from my waist. "Me? I don't know how to shoot." "Which is why we're here. There's more going on than just the Xenon bullshît. I need you to learn how to shoot a gun." He said with a serious look. "Can I ask what else is going on?" He looked hesitant. After a moment of silence he answered, "Nothing that should worry you right now." I eyed him and he held a straight face. I had a feeling that he was hiding something from me. I turned around and took off my jacket and set it on the side of the table. Carter placed the duffle bag on the other side of the table and unzipped it. Brian did the same but on the opposite table. "Come here, babe." Carter said and I walked over to him. He explained to me how to take bullets out the gun and how to do the clip. I paid close attention because I knew I wouldn't be learning this if something wasn't seriously going on. After the quick explanation, he turned the safety off and pulled the hammer back. He told me to put on the earmuffs and the glasses. I did as told he placed his free hand on my waist to put me in the position he wanted me in. He carefully handed me the gun and lifted my arms to put me in a shooting position. "Find a certain point and shoot. Does not have to be the target on the paper. Could be around it." He said before backing away from me a few steps. I placed my hand on the trigger and pulled it and the bullet went on the far left side of the paper. I pulled it again and this one made me step back and land into his chest hard. "I'm sorry." I said quickly. He didn't say anything but positioned me back in my spot. Suddenly the sound of a gunshot filled my ears. I turned and looked over at Brian that was shooting at the target paper full on. Bullet holes in the head. "I don't think I can do this, Carter." He sighed. "You have no choice. I'm not teaching you this just because, babe. I'm not going to be with you all the time and if my guards aren't around at a wrong moment and I'm not there, then you're going to have to learn to use this." I sighed. He was right. "Fine." I practiced more on shooting and eventually, Carter rested out his guns. I grew more relaxed with the gun the more I shot. Our practice, well mine, took about two hours. I wanted to get this shooting down pact. Carter watched me take the gun apart and put it back together. After that he packed up the guns and Brian stayed behind to continue shooting. When Carter and I walked outside the building, I pulled my hair back into a low ponytail. I bang on curls hanging out. Carter carries my jacket because I didn't want to wear it. It was hot out here.  We walked back to the house in a comfortable silence. I was walking ahead of him by a few feet. A small breeze passed by and I turned to face him and suddenly said to him, "I want to know more about you, Carter Mason." She walked backwards. Carter sighed. "There's not much to know about me, Tiana." "Can I ask you questions and you answer them?" I tried. Carter sighed again. "Aight and stop walking backwards." I smiled and turned back around and continued walking. "How old are you?" I queried without looking at him. "Twenty Five." He replied simply. "What's your favorite color?" I asked another question. "Red." I shouldn't be surprised. I chuckled slowly. We had about another block to reach the house. I don't know why we didn't drive up here but I didn't mind the walk. "When did you lose your virginity?" I asked. It was silent for a moment. I stopped to look at him and he was looking at me with a smirk on his lips. "Personal questions, huh?" He said with the devilish smirk. "I'm just trying to get to know you, Carter." I said with my hands up in an innocent way. "Mhmm. I was fifteen." "That's young." "Life happens." Was all he said. I turned back around and continued to walk but also ask questions. "Have you ever loved someone deeply that you aren't related to?" "Can't say I have. Loving another is not so simple." I nodded my head and went to ask another question but he asked one. "Why are you a virgin?" He asked me randomly. I felt heat rush to my cheeks. I did not expect that question. "I thought I was asking you the questions." I said nervously, trying to find an escape route. "I'm turning tables. Your answer?" "It's not your business, Carter." I said feeling a bit embarrassed and ashamed. "I'm just curious like you, babe. Are you choosing to wait till marriage?" I sighed. "Can you please ask another question?" "Would you give your virginity to someone you really care about?" I stopped walking and turned to face him. "Why is it so important to you?" This time I was standing a foot away from him. He shrugged. "I'm just curious." He said and walked around me. I stayed quiet for a moment. I don't know how this turned left. I probably should have stuck to the simple questions. "What's your favorite color?" He questioned, changing the topic. "Purple." I replied back then sighed. I don't know why but I answered the previous question. "I'm scared." "Scared of what?" "I heard it hurts to lose your virginity. On a woman's part. I have a low tolerance of pain." It was quiet for a moment. "It does hurt on your behalf. I'm sure you know how the entire process works." I sighed "Yeah." "It's only in the beginning. Throughout the process the pain will eventually turn into pleasure." He said. "It's a sensitive topic to me. Especially when you're in the position. Men are jackasses when it comes to inexperienced girls." He didn't reply just yet. "How are you in the position?" "I wouldn't say I'm in the position because you, um, you know...." He looked over his shoulder with a smirk. "I don't know. Explain what I did." I scoffed. "I'm not doing this with you." I said just as the house came into view. "I'm a patient man, babe. I knew you were a virgin when I first saw you." "You can tell if someone is a virgin?" I queried. "Just by a look." I laughed at his unbelievable ass and he opened the door for me once we made it to the front. _____________ EVERYTHING happens in my story for a reason.
