Chapter 1. Alessa:

3044 Words
1 year later. I've grown my short shagged blonde hair cut and added layers as well as getting it dyed black which makes my blue eyes pop. I wanted a change and moving from the town that I'd lived in most of my life wasn’t enough and having to deal with the stares even 1 year later after that horrible night I just couldn’t take it. I needed a new life. New friends. New look. My mother understands. After all, all I had was Sarah, and if it wasn’t for the fact that she was meeting me at the river that morning for our daily swim I probably wouldn’t be alive today. She couldn’t handle the fact that she almost didn’t make it in time and moved away about a month after the incident. We still talk a couple of times during the month but instead of what happening to us bringing us closer today it drove us apart. We didn’t know how to handle what happened and what could have happened. Moving to Houston so far has been a very good decision. This is only my second month here and so far, I've managed to make friends with the doorman in my apartment building, Phillip is as mean as they come, but he enjoys his job and I think I'm starting to break him down more each time I see him from one sentence to two. Tomorrow is the end of a very long week and some people from work have invited me out for drinks. I very happily agreed to meet them hoping that one of them would end up turning into a friendship instead of just someone I see and talk to only at work. The next morning, I put on a white blouse with a navy-blue skirt and my black heels. It’s appropriate for an editorial assistant and it works well with the heat in Houston. Living only 2 blocks away from work means I save money on a car by just walking to work each day, minus the occasional rainstorm but that’s not very often. The morning is nice, and the heat isn't too bad, and it makes me feel like today is going to be a good day. The workday goes by fast and I’m not sure if it is because I've spent most of the day reading and making notes for my boss or because I’m really excited about the drinks after work but either way it was a quick day and before I know it Jamie is knocking on my door asking if I’m ready to go. Jamie who is 5’7” and looks like she could have been a supermodel in another life with her thin figure and bright blonde hair, has been the only person to talk to me at work besides my boss. “One second, I have to bring this home with me and turn it in to Nancy on Monday,” I say smiling at her. She rolls her eyes “You don’t get paid to work on weekends, you know that right?” I shake my head at her and laugh at her comment. “I live by myself, what else am I going to do with my weekend? Besides I like reading.” I tell her “mhm, let’s go” she responds. We walk out of the building and walk a couple of blocks to a little bar, on the outside you would never think was a bar, you would think was just a regular building with tinted windows not being able to see in. We go in and there are 4 people that I have never met, but have noticed from work that Jamie begins introducing me to. After 4 drinks and a plate of fries, I can feel my phone vibrating and notice that my mother is calling. I decided to ignore it and would just call her later. She will be happy to know that I was putting myself out there and trying to make friends again after being closed off for so long. Jayden, who is easily attractive enough with dirty blonde hair that falls to his shoulders and is about 6 feet tall, has been attached to my hip since I walked in with Jamie. Asking me simple questions like how I like work and what I like to do for fun, as well as paying for my drinks and fries. He is someone I could see myself becoming friends with, but only friends and nothing more. I try to pay for everything each time, but he keeps handing his card to the bartender before I can. I decided after the fries that I would stop ordering stuff because I didn’t want him to get the wrong idea. The drinks hit me, and I turn to Jamie “I’ll be right back, I have to go to the restroom.” I yell over the music playing. “Want me to come with?” she asks as she eyeballs a guy on the other side of the bar. “No, it's fine, I'll be right back.” I laugh as I stand and make my way to the back of the bar where the bathrooms are. Washing my hands, I look at myself in the mirror and all I can do is stare at the woman looking back at me. She isn't the woman who goes to the bar after work. She isn’t the woman who hangs out with groups of people that she hardly knows even if they do work with her. Starting to feel like a fake I decide that it's time for me to go home before I do something to make them see that I'm pretending to be something I’m not. On my way out I run right into the wall in the small hallway that leads back out into the bar dropping my phone. Or what felt like a wall until a deep seductive voice spoke “I’m Sorry.”. Realizing that I ran into someone I start to immediately apologize, but looking into his eyes has me speechless. His eyes which I feel are judging me, but not in a bad way are the color haze that draws me in immediately with hints of green and gold blended together with a glimmer of mischief. His hair is dark brown, almost black, short with curls hanging slightly on his forehead with every strand laying perfectly on his head without him even having to try and I find myself picturing running my fingers through it. “Are you okay?” He asked and it took me a moment to realize that I was just standing there staring at him, I could feel my face start to turn red. “I’m fine, I'm sorry I wasn’t paying attention and didn’t see you,” I stated. He smirks “It’s okay, What's your name?” I happen to bend over to pick up my phone off the floor while looking at his outfit. He is wearing a blue long-sleeved button-up and a pair of jeans, with tattoos on both arms. “Alessa,” I say automatically. He nods his head, “Would you like to get out of here Alessa?”. I look at him, the way he says my name does things to me. “That’s very straightforward,” I respond. He laughs and I can't help but think about how amazing that sound was and how much I want to hear it again. “Well, I'm a straightforward person and you did just run into me.” I can feel my face starting to turn red again. Sticking his hand out for me to shake it he says “Liam,”. “Would like you a drink?” He says after shaking my hand, I nod and he turns to walk down the hall back to the front of the bar. We get to the bar and we sit opposite my friends as they watch me with this stranger. We order our drinks and talk about random things, The alcohol in my system makes me feel brave “Would you like to dance?’ I ask, he nods smiling, and follows me out to the dance floor. I typically don’t dance the way the alcohol is making me feel and being at the bar with an attractive mystery man has me thinking I can do anything in the world. We slowly start to dance, my hands go into my hair, and he places his hands on my hips with one of his legs in between mine while we dance. Jamie brings the guy she was talking to and starts dancing behind me while the bar starts to fill up with more people. The dance floor starts to get crowded pushing us closer together while we grind on each other. A random song I had never heard of finally ends and takes my hand and leads me back to the hallway where we met, pushing me up against the wall his lips meet mine and I’m lost not caring about where I am and who is around or watching. His mouth tastes like mint with a mix of alcohol, My arms wrap around his neck automatically as his hands are in my hair. I lift my leg up to wrap around his waist to pick me up, and as I do, I can feel just as excited he is from his pants, he moans as I move my leg. He breaks the kiss “Let's get out of here.” He says in between breaths, I shake my head excitedly. He puts his arm around my neck and leads me to the door. Walking past Jamie, I catch her winking at me, and I smile, Jayden looks pissed. I quickly look away from Jayden feeling bad. The look on his face makes me think he thought something would have happened between us and while he is an attractive guy it wouldn’t have happened because of where we both work. Walking out of the bar, he lets go to call a cab, he opens the door for me motioning for me to climb in. Before I do, he grabs my arm again stopping me to kiss me, smiling at me. Giving the cab driver his address, he becomes quiet as he puts his arm behind my head, I scoot closer and start rubbing my hand up and down his leg getting closer and closer to the growing bulge in his pants. I kept my eyes on forward to keep the cab driver from figuring out what I was doing, but I could feel his eyes on me. I could hear his breathing pick up the closer I got to it until I rubbed him. He uses his arm to pull me closer to his mouth, “If you don’t stop, I’ll stop the cab and f**k you in the alley.” He says in a whisper. I pull away smiling looking at him but the look on his way and the fire in his eyes lets me know that he is very serious. I go back to rubbing his leg still smiling as I meet the gaze of the cab driver in the mirror. After a 15-minute drive, we finally make it to his apartment, tossing money at the gab driver, I laugh and tell the man thank you. He leads me up to what looks like an abandoned building, unlocking the door, it opens to a beautiful industrial loft apartment. The walls are made of bricks with windows side by side taking up most of each wall. There is a very big brick fireplace in the middle of the brick wall, my eyes went there immediately on each side of the fireplace are two wooden bookcases filled with books. He takes his shoes off and walks off to the kitchen pouring us something to drink while I take in my surroundings. There is a mahogany rug in the middle of the living room with a cream-colored sectional. Taking my shoes off and placing them beside his I walk over to him in the kitchen and sit on a stool on the island. The kitchen is much like the living room brick and windows cover the walls, while most of the items are white or creamed colored. He hands me my drink; I take a sip and try not to scrunch my face at the taste of Merlot, I’m not a fan of the red wine. I’m not a fan of any wine but I don’t tell him that, taking another sip. “Was that your boyfriend at the bar?” He asked me as I placed my cup down. “Who? Jamie? No, just a guy I work with. I think he was expecting something more than I was willing to give to him.” I say looking around again. “But you’d be willing to give that up to a stranger?” he says amusingly. “Does it matter? And besides I don’t sleep or date the people I work with. That makes life more dramatic than it needs to be if there is a messy breakup.” I shrug. He chuckles at my comment. Before I can think to much about it, I chug the wine and stand up moving in between his legs. He opens willingly and moves his hands to my ass, I kiss him and slowly turn my head to start kissing down the side of his neck moving my hands up his leg again. I keep my hands moving up and start to undo the buttons on his shirt, taking the lead of the situation. Once I get the top button undone, he leans forward to take his shirt off, I rub my hands across the hair on his chest. Feeling the muscles underneath, his arms and chest are strong and muscular showing off that he works every day. He has a tattoo of an angel on one arm and a demon on the other. I touch the demon and look at him with an eyebrow raised. “Everyone has internal struggles he says,” leaning down and kissing my neck letting me know the conversation is over. I lift his head and kiss his lips which now taste Merlot. The way it tastes on his lips makes me want to drink it every day just to remind me of him. He unbuttons the back of the skirt and lets it fall to the floor, I step out of it kick it behind me, and take my shirt off in the process. He pushes me back a little and looks down at my body, I begin doing a little jump in my head for deciding to wear my matching lace bra and underwear this morning. “Your beautiful,” he says looking down at me. He stands up quickly picking me up I wrap my legs around his waist. I kiss him, he kisses back harder pulling away enough to bite my bottom lip which makes me moan. Laying me down on the couch with him in between my legs he grabs my underwear ripping it off me in one switch motion. I gasped, “I hope you weren’t attached to those,” he said while kissing down my chest and all I could do was laugh. As he leaves a trail of kisses down my body, he picks my leg up and puts it on his shoulder, then while doing the same with the other leg he lays down on his stomach with his head in between my legs. I feel his tongue on me and jump up, his hands grip my hips harder and pull me back down to him, I put my hands in his hair, pulling as he continues to eat like I'm his last meal. I start moaning which makes him go faster, he takes his hand off my hip and puts a finger inside of me and that’s all it takes for me to come completely undone. He lifts up and wipes his smiling face, , “I'm not done with you, roll over”, he says as he reaches inside his pocket to pull out a condom. I lay there, watching him as he took his pants and underwear off every muscle on his body taunting me as he slipped the condom onto his fully erect c**k. Annoyed that I haven't flipped over yet, Liam easily picks me up and puts me on my hands and knees on the floor. He starts rubbing one hand on my ass as the other hand unclips my bra. Before the bra hits the ground, he’s inside of me making me gasp. He lets out a loud moan and based on the noise he made and how I’m feeling I know that he's completely inside of me. I stay still for a moment, neither of us moving. Wanting to hear the noise he made again, I began to move slowly back and forth. His hands grip my hips hard as I move, slowly arching my back and moving my face closer to the floor I start to move faster. He finally comes to and starts moving pushing inside of me while pulling me to him. He picks up the pace, and I can hear him breathing harder. My stomach starts to clinch, letting me know that this is about to be all over, and based on the sounds he has coming out of his mouth he is feeling the same way. He moans “Come for me Alessa.” As he starts going harder. I don’t say anything as I push off the floor pushing my body back into him as he's pushing into me. “Alessa,” he says, and I know he’s about to come, but the way he says my name has me crumbling to the floor screaming. With that happening he finishes as well, loudly while saying my name again. I open my eyes and look at him on the floor beside me “Good Girl, this isn't over,” he says with a smile.
