Chapter Forty-Three

212 Words
Now that Serena was far enough away that he didn’t have to risk looking into her eyes again, he took the time to study her as much as he’d been wanting to. Her skin had a soft beautiful glow to it he was itching to caress. He wondered if it would feel as good as it looked. Her jeans hugged an ass he wouldn’t mind grabbing hold of either. As his eyes roamed upwards, he noticed the swell of her breast beneath the blouse she was wearing and he had to shift in his seat to be comfortable. She wasn’t the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen. He’d seen plenty of women with hourglass figures… supermodel bodies. But there was something about Serena. She was definitely the first woman he’d ever been so attracted to. Just the way she carried herself appealed to him on a visceral level. Caleb was so caught up in studying his mate he hadn’t heard a word the alpha said. When the meeting was over, he lost sight of Serena as she was swallowed up by the crowd of welcoming werewolves. It was just as well. He had no business staring at her like he just was and so he vowed to not let it happen again. “Let’s go get some food before the enforcers eat it all,” Cameron said. Caleb turned to find both of them already standing. “You guys go ahead. I’m not quite ready as yet.” “Suit yourself,” Cameal remarked as they shrugged and left.
