s**t!
Shit!
SHIT!
Caleb’s mind was racing. The very last thing he needed was for his nosey and intrusive sisters to catch wind of this… situation with the new she-wolf. That’s what he’d been referring to it as – a situation not an attraction. Denial was the name of the game. It was simply a situation he needed to address and get a handle on.
Unfortunately, that was proving more difficult to do than he’d imagined.
He knew he was deluding himself but he couldn’t help trying to ignore the situation.
His wolf Wilder constantly called him out on his stupidity.
Ever since he’d met Serena earlier in the week, her brown eyes and beautiful smile had all but haunted him. Every time he closed his eyes, that was all he saw. He’d rarely visited the mansion these past days, but every time he did, he half-expected to run into her again. And every time he didn’t, he was filled with equal parts relief and regret.
He wanted to see her just as badly as he wanted to bury his head in the sand and pretend like she’d never met her and she wasn’t his fated mate. He was definitely stuck between a rock and a hard place. He didn't want to want to see her but his very existence could not be sustained without seeing her.
