Serena’s jaw basically dropped to the floor. She’d never in the past been compensated for any work she did in whatever pack she was in. She usually worked as a waitress in her spare time as a way to earn money to maintain herself.
Aiden went on to state a figure for her salary that made Serena gasp. It was far more than anything she’d guess when he first mentioned a salary. It was way too much for her needs.
This place was starting to seem too good to be true.
“How about I give you a quick tour now?”
Serena stood when Aiden did. “That sounds great.”
He led her to his office door and waved her out ahead of him. “This is my wing. You can usually find me in my office, but I’ll also give you my cell number just in case you need me and can’t find me.”
He went on to explain that his cousin’s suite of rooms was down the other hallway on that floor before leading them to the staircase. “Most of the enforcers live on the second floor, but a few have rooms on the ground level,” he continued as they walked.
When they reached the first floor, he turned down a hall and opened a door to another set of stairs leading into the basement. “Down there is a game room, a movie room, and some basic lounge areas. Feel free to use any of them any time you like.”
He closed the door and turned to head back the way they’d come. Serena followed him. She was overwhelmed and lost in thought. Never had she imagined an alpha opening his home to her like this.
It was unheard of.
