The university's heavy metal gates had just been repainted and as Aurora stepped through, she sniffed the fresh paint. All over, the Campus heralded a fresh, clean look, repledent as the new academic session that just kicked off a week before.
Passing through familiar hallmarks, Aurora waved off the deja Vu that clung in the air around her. When she got to the empty hall, she remembered the class of 2019 and smiled. Following graduation, most of her fellow students left the Campus environ, some the town entirely. But here she was. The excellent conclusion of her MA, made for appointment as she was awarded the job of teaching assistant in the department. Aurora had been surprised. Like many young people, she entertained thoughts of working in a glowing Corporation. However, she would have been a fool to let the opportunity the university had afforded her slip by. It came with accomodation benefits and for someone just starting out in life, it was very welcome.
Her visit to the school that Monday was a little tedious filling a lot of paperwork. She met with the Dean and later Mr Frederick, who she had been assigned to assist. Also, she was shown her quarters. The small living room with an open kitchen and a surprisingly more than large room was more than efficient for Aurora. There were sparse furnishings including an old TV in the living room. The bathroom was not too bad either. She was to resume work in two weeks, but decided then to move to the Campus lodge a week early, just in time before the lease on her off Campus apartment ended.
