MILA'S POV
The shock on Randy's face was the same as the one on Sam's face but Carmen didn't look deterred at all. On the contrary, she looked like she was dying to jump for joy. It was strange to me that none of them could see through her facade as easily as I could.
“What… what are you saying, Mila?” Randy asked, finally finding his voice again. He had been silent for over a minute, staring at me in disbelief. “Why would you leave your home? Why would you leave me?” I could hear hurt in his voice and it took everything in me to stop myself from rushing over to hug him.
