As Venus snuggled back into Gareth's arms, I linked my eyes with his. He gave a slight nod and I gave one back. “Did Gareth tell you there's something we need to discuss with you?” my voice was steady but I felt it had wavered for a little bit. I wasn't scared, I was anxious.
I saw her lift her head almost immediately, detangling herself from Gareth's grip. “Yes, he did.” she confirmed, fixing her eyes on me. Her eyes looked so innocent I felt my heart melt into a puddle. Pregnancy had given her a glow up and I felt like sinking my teeth into her neck to mark her once and for all.
