Chapter 1
Sofia Scott left jail before dark.
She had been liberated from prison for one day.
She took a transport at the jail's front door, holding a piece of paper with a place written on it. She arrived at an old manor mostly up the mountain just before sunset. Sofia was then driven into a room by the concierge.
When she entered the room, it was completely black, and she smelled rich, powerful blood.
A couple of major regions of strength for Sofia got her before she had adjusted to the murkiness in the room, and she fell into a man's grasp.
A hot breath soon entered her ear. "Anyway, you are what they sent for me to appreciate before my passing, the… call young lady?"
'Can you call... young lady?'
Sofia's tears streamed down her cheeks.
She became terrified out of nowhere, and her voice shuddered. "Is it true or not that you are… passing on soon?"
"Indeed! Do you regret doing my job?" The man smirked softly.
"I don't think twice about it," Sofia lamented.
She had no time to cry because her mother was ready to be saved by her.
Despite the fact that she couldn't see the man's face in the poor light, she had the impression he wasn't going to die.
The man finally nodded off after two or three hours.
'Could it be claimed that he is now dead?'
Sofia had no time to be afraid, so she bolted from the manor.
Around that time, the night sky began to rain heavily. She dashed to the Lynn Home in the pouring rain.
It was eleven o'clock at night, and the door to the Lynn Home was locked. Whatever the case, Sofia could hear a cheerful clamour throughout the house, as if there was something worth celebrating.
"Open the door!" Open the door and provide me the money right now. I want to go save my mother... Please open the door! "Open the door!"
The door was still locked.
She was dizzy and shaky on her feet because she had sat tight for the transport in the rain for quite some time before she needed to run to Lynn Home. Nonetheless, she needed to ready herself and continued to hammer unforgivingly on Lynn Home's entryway. "Open the door!" Please open the door! Give me the money right away, I urgently need to go save my mother... "
'Bang!' Sofia's lost hope look unexpectedly shimmered as the entryway was pushed open from the inside.
Sofia was looked down on and despised by the person behind the door.
Sofia realizes she now appears to be more regrettable than a bum.
Nonetheless, she was unable to concentrate on her photo right now. She jumped up and looked at the person with an arguing comprehensive search in her eyes. "I have done what you requested that I do, immediately give me the cash, my mom's life can hardly stand by any more, please…"
"Your mom is dead, so you never again need the cash." The person who opened the door threw a dark framed picture into the rain before firmly closing the door.
"What?" Sofia was astonished as she remained motionless in the pouring rain.
After a long time, she let forth a bitter wail, "Mother... "
"Mother… I was late, didn't I? Isn't it true that I missed the opportunity to save you? My mother has passed away... "My mother has passed away... " Sofia embraced her mother's casket photo, curled up in the rain, and mumbled to herself.
She then slithered up and began pounding on the door like an insane person. "Liar! I've done all I promised you, but you didn't save my mother; please restore my mother to me! Liar! Your entire family will perish horribly... Liar! Liar! Liar! I despise the fact that your entire family will perish!"
Sofia swooned since she had been crying a lot outside the Lynn Home's entryway.
Three days had gone by the time she awoke, and she was back in jail.
She was shipped out of the clinical consideration region when she was in significant lethargy due to a high fever. Her fever returned after three days, and she was returned to the first detention area.
A couple of female detainees approached and encircled her.
"I thought she was delivered and liberated in the wake of being rescued, however she was sent back in again soon after three days?"
"I heard she was loaned on a mission to be played with for an evening."
The heavily created female group pioneer yanked Sofia's hair and burst out laughing. "What a good life this lady had!" "Watch me beat the tar out of her today!"
Sofia didn't even bat an eyelid.
Allow them to pound her to death. If she were beaten into the ground, it would be great for her to reunite with her mother.
A angry voice sounded from the entryway as the ladies began to remove Sofia's garments. "What's going on with you?"
The female group's leader quickly put on a fake grin. "Sofia was annihilated. We were simply concerned for her."
The prison guard did not respond, but yelled Sofia's jail code. "036, emerge!"
Sofia walked away, apathetically asking, "What did I screw up at this point?"
"You have been absolved." The prison officer stated flatly.
"What?" Sofia believed she was daydreaming. It wasn't until she was outside the jail that she realized it was true.
She burst into tears and whispered, "Mother! I was unable to save you, but could you please forgive me? I'll see you later. "How are you protected...?"
"Are you Miss Scott?" A guy's voice came quickly, and then a man in a suit stood before Sofia. A dark vehicle had stopped directly behind the man. Sofia noticed a man in a disguise watching her from the truck.
She made a motion. "That is, indeed, me. You… "
The man did not respond, but he was courteous and pleasant to the man in hides in the vehicle. "Youthful Expert Sebastian, it's her."
"Bring her over!" The man in concealment asked.
Sofia, who was still perplexed, was driven inside the van and sat next to the man in disguises. She immediately sensed a frigid, menacing vibe emanating from him.
Sofia felt as if her life was in his hands.
"I'm Sebastian Portage." The dude made an icy entrance.
Sofia couldn't pass up the chance to tremble and inquired lovingly, "I have not been cleared... "However, I will accept my death penalty, right?"
"I'm taking you to get a marriage declaration!" Sebastian was hesitant to take another look at her.
Sofia mistakenly assumed his voice was normal. It appeared to be the man who died that evening.
Regardless, the individual was no longer alive.
"What did you say?" She assumed she had misheard it.
