Chapter SixAfter slapping some sense into his nephew, it was time for Gus to pay a visit to Rico. Larry had told him that he and Koblentz were just having a spirited conversation when Rico butted in for no reason. The version that witnesses gave to the newspapers and the police was that Larry had been the aggressor and Gus knew his nephew all too well. He believed what he read in the papers. And he knew Rico. Rico wasn't about to start a ruckus with a snot-nosed kid like Larry for no reason. So, despite what he'd said, Larry had indeed been the aggressor. That made a difference. It would make it harder for Rico to walk away. True, three guys were dead and, although badly wounded, Rico was still alive. But there was the principle of the thing. And Rico was big on principles.
