“Go get your bag,” he tells me.
“Matt…”
“Grab your bag and let’s go,” he repeats, looking at me with dark eyes.
“I can’t.”
“I’ll be outside in five minutes, Defne.”
I watch him walk away and feel his command slide over my skin from head to toe. There’s something about him, something that makes me stop listening to my brain, something that pushes me to disobey what my head keeps insisting I should do. I become irrational, guided only by instinct, by what my body wants.
So I do what he asks and go get my bag.
Kacey and Levi say nothing as they watch me leave.
Scarlett and Sebastian look at me when I walk out.
